London X City Supports UK Employee Pension Scheme

“The UK employee pension scheme is a great initiative that all employers have to sign up to,” says Karla from London X City. “Naturally, we have pensions available in line with legal requirements for all our staff. However, we also want to join the campaign in raising further awareness of the benefits of this campaign, how it works, and how other employers can – and should – sign up.”
Pensions are always a hot topic for debate in UK politics. Age limits have recently been changed, meaning people have to work longer before they are eligible to receive a pension. The state pension, meanwhile, is paid for through National Insurance contributions made during an individual’s working lifetime. All employers must enable their workers to sign up to the pension scheme, but some companies continue not to do this.
Karla explains: “We think that it is lack of knowledge rather than anything else. This is why we have highlighted the UK employee pension scheme, and why we have officially signed up for it. We hope that this will encourage other employers to do the same. After all, if they don’t, they are in breach of employment laws and this could cost them dearly.”
