New Study Shows Only 6% of People Achieve Their Goals and Reveals Their Secret Formula
A new study by Dr. Michelle Rozen demonstrates that only 6% of people who want to change something in their lives actually succeed. The study found that there is a strong correlation between goal commitment and category in the case of those people who succeeded.
United States – October 4, 2023 /MarketersMEDIA/ —
The research, which was published in the Open Journal of Social Sciences, was conducted by Dr. Michelle Rozen in the United States from early 2023 to mid 2023. For this study, Dr. Rozen interviewed 999 people about the goals they set as New Year’s Resolution.
Out of the total number of participants, 815 (81.6%) set personal development goals in January. Out of them, only 53, or 6.5%, were still pursuing their goal in June. Out of the 762 people that set a goal and abandoned it, 729, or 95.7%, dropped it by the end of February. These findings support the University of Scranton’s research that 50% of Americans make some yearly New Year’s Resolutions, but less than half of the same group continued working on their resolutions for the past six months.
“The study reveals what the 6% do in order to actually follow through with the goals that they set for themselves. So many people around the world are extremely frustrated these days; they want to live better, feel better, and do better, but feel stuck. The 6% formula is a true game-changer and has tremendous impact not only on people’s success in following through with their goals, but also on their happiness and mental wellness as a result. Making a change is actually simple – you just need to know how to do it,” said Dr. Michelle Rozen.
The study also found that goal commitment has a significant relationship with goal categories. For example, 9.6% of those who set fitness goals were still pursuing them in June, while only 3.4% of those who set money and finance goals did not drop them after the first 6 months.
