Phillips Law Group – A Practice of Giving

November 07, 2016 – – Phoenix, Arizona – When your tag line is “Arizona’s Law Firm,” it means you do more for the community than earn legal fees. You also give something back. Phillips Law Group has made charitable giving a firm‐wide priority. The firm recently completed its second year as the title sponsor of Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s “Phoenix Walk Like MADD” fundraising event at the Phoenix Zoo. Together with the contribution to secure the title sponsorship, and the firm’s internal fundraising, they contributed over $15,000 in 2016 to support this worthy organization.

As a trial lawyer, Phillips Law Group’s Managing Attorney, Timothy G. Tonkin, has had the opportunity to observe firsthand the positive impact of MADD. Of the impetus for the firm’s involvement, Mr. Tonkin noted, “After working in conjunction with MADD representatives, who are a great source of strength to the victims of drunk or drugged drivers, we saw their invaluable help and we wanted to do something to support their mission.” It was a no‐brainer when MADD reached out to the firm for assistance. Mr. Tonkin adds, “We hope our contribution will help MADD continue to make our roadways safer, while making it easier for those impacted by such avoidable behaviors as drunken driving, to find the justice they desperately deserve.”

Fundraising for MADD is only one of the ways Phillips Law Group helps out. The firm also collects blankets and other items for the homeless, sponsors an annual food drive for the hungry, and supports crowd funding efforts to raise money for injury victims through individual employee contributions.
