As property prices in the North West increase, The Heaton Group is invigorated by regeneration projects across Manchester, Bolton and Preston.

The North West is one of the fastest-growing regions in the UK and house prices are keeping pace. According to the Office for National Statistics, annual growth in property values stood at 5.6% by July last year, well ahead of the 3.1% rise in the average house price in the UK. By 2024, the North West is likely to see growth of 25% in house prices.
The prospective rise in house prices is reflective of the significant push for regeneration in the region, particularly in the cities of Manchester and Preston and the town of Bolton. These areas are seeing rapid growth, with Manchester’s city centre population is forecast to surpass 635,000 by 2025. This is certainly an exciting time to move up North!
The Heaton Group are delighted to be a part of the growth in the region with several high profile developments already underway.
Stone Cross House is in the centre of Bolton’s new £150m Church Wharf regeneration scheme and will comprise 61 luxury one and two bed apartments, of which only 17 remain. The building will be Bolton’s first high-spec apartment block providing city-living with integrated smart technology. This area of Bolton is very much up-and-coming and it is really exciting to see new opportunities arising in the area.
Just a mile north from Manchester’s city centre, Johnson’s Square is another fantastic example of regeneration in the areas surrounding the city. First constructed in 1819, the building is being transformed into 10 luxury apartments and just 3 remain. The structure combines heritage with more modern fixtures and fittings in a style that Manchester is becoming well-known for.
Further North, a new project in Preston has just begun: Bishopgate Gardens is situated in Preston’s City Centre as part of the £434 million regeneration scheme. The building will comprise 130 luxury one, two and three bed apartments and is perfectly situated in the heart of Preston. Furthermore, with on-site concierge and retail facilities, the building will appeal to a wide range of people.
Seeing the growth in the North West is really exciting for residents and people moving to the area for work. There are plenty of incredible building projects already underway and The Heaton Group regard their involvement with the regeneration of the region as a real privilege.
