QMS Global Introduces Fourth Edition of MVO 8000 Certification

BOCA RATON, FL / ACCESSWIRE / February 23, 2016 / QMS Global Group, an international organization specializing in the certification of a wide range of management systems, has introduced the fourth edition of its proprietary MVO 8000 (www.mvo8000.com) standard.

The announcement was made by Bruce Weber, president and founder of QMS Global Group (www.qms.net).

“The MVO 8000 certification program is a robust and rigorous designation that clearly sets our corporate clients apart from their competition,” said Weber. “It works seamlessly with all ISO programs, but adds significant features that demonstrate to the market that companies of all sizes are running their businesses in a responsible manner that responds to customers, stakeholders, and the general population.”

The original MVO 8000 standard, developed in 2002, combines ethics audits, a “good neighbor” policy, and risk & vulnerability assessment into an umbrella designation that has the following features:

– A comprehensive, quantifiable, and credible Corporate Responsibility Management System
– Improved risk identification and management
– Better relations with stakeholders
– Boosted employee morale
– Higher productivity potential
– Reduced operating costs
– Enhanced brand value and reputation
– Long-term sustainability for both company and society

As a global leader in ISO certifcation, QMS established the MVO 8000 certification in response to concerns about socially responsible business practices. The impartial certification program encompasses managerial, ethical, and environmental focus. The recently revised MVO 8000 standard focuses on such initiatives as:

– Professional and business ethics
– Community responsibility
– Employee safety and health
– Environmental compliance

“A company’s reputation for ethical business practices has become just as important as one earned for efficiency and profitability,” said Weber. “Today, businesses are increasingly moving toward voluntary compliance and the use of self-auditing techniques and programs. With this, our fourth refinement of the MVO standard, we are continually educating clients on how to operate efficient businesses that make a positive impression on the market.”

The MVO 8000 certification process acknowledges that responsible companies must confront managerial challenges, such as:

– Making profit under an umbrella of responsibility and accountability in all facets of the business
– Maintaining a working environment free from harassment or intimidation
– Suspending business with unscrupulous suppliers.

Weber pointed out the the MVO standard, “can be seamlessly integrated into existing management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and virtually all other international and sector-specific compliance programs. It is designed to reflect global statutory and regulatory requirements, a company’s internal policies, and an ethical imperative to conduct business honestly and with proper regard for the employee, the customer, and the community.”
