Toronto Physiotherapy Clinic, Ace Physio, has recently inspired an innovative approach to Downtown Toronto Acupuncture treatments.
Ace Physiotherapy has recently acquired the equipment and technology to be able to offer 5 different methods of stimulating Acupuncture points, including traditional, needle with electro stim, Needle-less electrostim, laser therapy, and shockwave therapy.
Physiotherapist Bradley Saltz explained “Acupuncture can be a highly effective treatment, however, not all our patients will tolerate the traditional form. For those patients, we offer the alternative of laser, electro stim or shockwave acupuncture.”
Laser Therapy acupuncture uses low level laser therapy device to stimulate acupuncture points and meridians. The laser therapy machine emits 50,000mW of power, using 6 GaAs Super Pulsed Lasers, 4 Infrared emitting Diodes, and 4 Red light emitting Diodes. Saltz described the treatment as: “Safe, pain free, and highly effective, especially in combination with manual therapy and massage”.
Needle-less ElectroStim Acupuncture uses the AcuHealth 900 electro stimulator machine to send a mild electrictrical charge to either tonify or disperse energy along each meridian.
Shockwave Therapy Acupuncture involves the use of our Storz MP200 Shockwave Therapy Device using acoustic pressure waves. Microcirculation and reduction in scar tissue occurs helping to heal. Shockwave Therapy is especially effective for chronic muscle and tendon injuries.
