The village of Talkeetna sees approximately 300,000 visitors passing through each summer, which creates a huge need for public restrooms to accommodate the sheer number of visitors. The Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce, along with Denali Arts Council and White Lilac Cleaning came up with a solution to the problem. With the Denali Arts Council opening their restroom to the public and White Lilac Cleaning providing daily staffing and supplies, the trial run proved successful and viable to benefit both tourists and locals alike.
