Under the Terms of the agreement American CryoStem will acquire certain assets of BioLife including its customer base, physician network, specific laboratory equipment and all stored biologic samples.

(PINKSHEETS:APPZ), urges a call for heightened public and governmental awareness of the issues surrounding the operation and activities of smaller, ultralight-manned aircraft and unmanned aircraft, particularly in high security or high population density areas. Earlier this month, a 61-year old Florida mailman was able to fly his small gyrocopter into the airspace of the Nation’s Capital and actually land his aircraft on the lawn of the US Capitol, despite the fact that he entered tightly “restricted airspace”/no fly zone, and despite the fact that the Tampa Bay Times newspaper had, two-months earlier, reported that this man’s flight was being planned.

Although this act was done as a means of non-violent protest regarding our government’s current campaign finance laws and did not actually result in injuries to civilians and/or property damage, it does raise a number of important issues or concerns from the perspective of public safety. First and foremost, what is to stop individuals or groups with more sinister motives (e.g. terrorists) from sending similar aircraft “under the radar” so to speak and into areas of high population or national security where they can do more damage; bombs or weaponry could easily be deployed on these small aircraft and once at or over their destinations could be easily detonated or used as delivery devices for deadly or destructive terrorist missions. In addition, these aircraft could create property damage or injure people simply through collisions with buildings, other aircraft or in connection with uncontrolled landings.

Monster Arts believes the time has come for a more comprehensive treatment by our National and state governments of the licensing of these ultralight aircraft, and the people who fly them, along with growing interests in doing the same with unmanned aerial vehicles and private and commercial drones. In connection with this regulatory call to action, Monster Arts is studying the possibilities for developing tracking systems that will facilitate the monitoring of these flights, as well as communications between those who operate the aircraft and those who follow or monitor them. Clearly, with the advent of GPS systems and Smartphone/mobile device technologies, there is much that can be done to establish sensible and efficient rules and procedures for safely controlling these new forms of air traffic. Indeed, with better tracking systems in place, our nation can not only have enhanced security and public safety, but can also enable and enhance the economic efficiencies (e.g., more efficient transportation of people and goods) that would result from a proliferation of these ultralight, smaller aircraft.
