Green PolkaDot Box Announces Plan to Buy Back up to 1,000,000 Shares

MOUNT PLEASANT, UT / ACCESSWIRE / April 29, 2015 / Green PolkaDot Box Incorporated (PINKSHEETS: GPDB) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a plan to purchase back as many as one million shares of its common stock, representing up to 60% of its shares in the public float.

Commenting on the decision, GPDB CEO, Rod Smith stated, “The current price is ridiculously low in light of our recent achievements and expectations for significant growth this year. Given the underlying strength of GPDB business and the recent turbulence in the equity markets, we think our current stock price is undervalued. Nepal Earthquake Victims Need Help NOW

A powerful earthquake has rocked Nepal affecting thousands of families. Oxfam is there now and urgently need help to provide clean water, sanitation and emergency food support.

A powerful earthquake has rocked Nepal. More than 4,300 people have been reported killed and thousands more injured. The exact figure is still uncertain at this stage but is continuing to rise.

Oxfam is there now and needs an urgent help to provide clean water, sanitation and emergency food support.

So far 8 million people across the country are affected by the disaster. 34,000 people are reportedly living out in the open in makeshift camps – too scared to return to their homes. Many buildings are still unsafe. There are currently 16 camps in the Kathmandu Valley identified by government, nine in KHT, four in Lalitpur and three in Bhaktapur. According to the UN Resident Coordinator’s report, hospitals are overcrowded in Kathmandu valley and running short of emergency supplies.

After a disaster such as this clean water, emergency food and sanitation are crucial, Oxfam is currently working with other agencies in Nepal to provide water and sanitation to those affected. Oxfam aims to provide aid to at least 350,000 people and have already begun work in four camps delivering clean water and toilets. Oxfam’s response team from India have arrived in Gorkha, one of the worst affected areas, and begun assessing the level of need in the villages.

Outside the Kathmandu Valley, Oxfam teams have left for the remote Sinhdupalchowk region to begin assessing needs and are also aiming to reach Lamjung in the coming days.

More than 5 tonnes of water and sanitation materials have been dispatched from Oxfam’s warehouse in Barcelona to help those hit by the crisis.

When water supplies are damaged the chance of disease increases. Oxfam is currently establishing water provision in two of the 16 sites set up by the government in the Kathmandu. The plan is to eventually coordinate with other agencies to provide water to all the 16 sites and to 30,000 people there. Oxfam has many years’ experience in providing water and sanitation. We will be assessing the needs at Lalitpur camp to decide how best to help, what type and how many temporary toilets need building.

Many of the houses in Lalitpur are still intact but given the aftershocks many people are too scared to stay indoors. Oxfam has also mobilized a response team from India, who are making their way to Gorkha, one of the worst affected areas.

The scale and cost of the response is still being assessed but what is clear is that help is needed now. Nepal is one of the world’s poorest countries and does not have the infrastructure and resources to deal with a crisis of this magnitude. Half of the 28 million people in Nepal don’t have access to improved sanitation and live below the poverty line, around one in three of them in severe poverty. The ability to cope with a major disaster is crippled by the lack of economic and social infrastructure that people in richer nations take for granted. Many thousands of Nepalese are going to need a great deal of help.

Lithium Corporation Announces Results of Generative Sampling Program

LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / April 29, 2015 / Lithium Corporation (OTCQB: LTUM) “the Company” is pleased to announce that it has received all final sample results from its generative program conducted in Nevada and California during late winter 2015.

Thirteen discrete basins were visited during this program, seven of which the company had little or no previous data. In all 104 sediment samples, and 46 brine samples were taken. Not all basins visited yielded brines, as the ground water table in several basins was lower than could be practically sampled utilizing hand tools. The sediment sampling portion of the program indicated that a previously sparsely sampled basin exhibits widespread lithium in clays. Twelve additional samples were taken here with lithium in clay ranging from 178 ppm to 503 ppm, with the average lithium content of these samples being 350.66 ppm Li. Brine samples returned values from less than detection limit (0.02 mg/L Li) all the way up to 341.8 mg/L which sample was taken in old evaporation trenches on a playa not previously sampled. On another playa 4 samples averaged 29.75 mg/L Li, with a low value of 15.18 mg/L, and a high of 69.7 mg/L.

Avivagen Announces Abstract Presentation of Final Poultry Trial Results at Symposium of the Korean Society of Veterinary Science

The trial tested OxC-beta(TM) Livestock (“OxC-beta”) for preventing morbidity resulting from bacteria that are a global poultry production issue. The pathogen, Clostridium perfringens, causes a condition called necrotic enteritis (“NE”) resulting in intestinal damage that reduces producer economics and can also cause sickness or death. NE is a frequent reason for prophylactic use of antibiotics in poultry feeds.

The trial was conducted in broiler chickens and tested OxC-beta against two commonly-used Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGPs), a negative control group (non-medicated infected) and a positive control group (non-medicated uninfected). Summary results were reported by Avivagen in its news release of March 3rd, 2015 but this is the first time results have been presented to the scientific community.

Preventive Effects of OxC-beta on a Necrotic Enteritis Challenge Model of Broiler Chickens

The authors of the abstract are Jae-Young Oh, Bai Wei, Jae-Hee Roh, Min Kang, Hye-Suk Seo, Ran-Hee Yoon, Se-Yeoun Cha, and Professor Hyung-Kwan Jang, who led the trial work.

The abstract provides an introduction to OxC-beta and its mechanisms of action, then discusses materials and methods used in the trial and outlines its results, which are:

  • Mean body weight of the OxC-beta treatment groups was significantly increased relative to the non-medicated bird group.

    The body weight of the 2 parts-per-million (ppm) OxC-beta treatment group steadily increased for the trial period in the face of the bacterial challenge.

    Average weight gain of the OxC-beta treatment groups for the whole trial period was restored to the weight achieved by the non-challenged bird group.

    Intestinal lesion scores due to NE infection were significantly alleviated by OxC-beta treatment compared to the non-medicated bird group.

    The Clostridial bacteria count in feces was reduced by OxC-beta in a dose dependent pattern.

The authors of the abstract go on to draw the following conclusions about OxC-beta:

  • Low ppm levels of OxC-beta in feed can contribute to the prevention and improvement of NE in commercial broiler chicken farming and is expected to have a positive effect in improving productivity for the feeding period.
