Reach 1.8 Product Development Update

Big Rock Labs has found solutions to improve the Reach iOS and Android applications. These apps currently provide professionals with a way to find and make connections with other professionals near them.

The next big update will provide a more complete experience that doubles down on server reliability/scalability and product improvements. The Reach development team has successfully transferred the Reach app to a new Parse server. Parse is a cloud app platform that enables users to add a scalable and powerful backend for a full-featured app. Parse was acquired by Facebook in April 2013 for 85 million USD.

Market research shows that professionals are looking to find connections at various events and network with relevant contacts. Therefore the next Reach update will replace Foursquare locations with nearby events from Eventbrite.

The main focus of the next big update will be to optimize the application and build the user experience foundation around the platform to push the product closer to product/market fit. The delivered experience will be built around user metrics and feedback to help the process be iterative and thorough with a focus on higher engagement and user acquisition for future growth.

Reach 1.8 Launch planned for August 2015

Big Rock has rebranded the Reach logo with a new design for a better product fit. The Company is currently working on a major Reach update with improved onboarding, user registration changes, search, invite functions, instant messaging and nearby events integration. Next to Email and LinkedIn login, onboarding will also be possible via Facebook login.

The planned invite function should be able to use friends/contacts from Facebook, Gmail, LinkedIn and Twitter. Seamless and real-time instant messaging will also enhance the user experience, while select push notifications will drive user engagement.

The Reach 1.8 iOS and Android updates are scheduled for launch in August 2015. In addition, Big Rock is in discussions with strategic partners to drive Reach user growth, analyze potential takeover targets and create recurring revenue streams.

Football: Strategy and Tactics is comprised of two main elements. First, it is a classic football manager with a few RPG elements, and a turn-based strategic game during the match. The idea is quite similar to good old XCOM games, where you manage your resources in a manager mode and then use them in battle mode.

One of the goals of this game was to make the outcome of matches less random. During the match, you will have the ability to move players around on the hexagon-based field, using turn-based strategy mechanics, merged with the actual football rules. Because both players plan their moves at the same time, you are given the opportunity to try and outthink your opponent.

Kentucky AdTech Startup Helps OppositionParty Win Presidency of Guyana

El Toro IP targeting technology was a critical part of the campaign’s digital strategy.

June 16, 2015 – Louisville, KY – Strategic digital targeting to an estimated 300,000 voters across the country in the 30 days leading up to the election identified as key to the campaign’s success. El Toro’s proprietary IP mapping and ad delivery to high value neighborhoods and specific locations impacted voter turnout in those areas.

With the May 26th swearing in ceremony, David Granger became Guyana’s eighth executive president, ending the 23 year hold on power by the incumbent People’s Progressive Party Civic ( PPP/C ). Granger’s five-party opposition coalition — Afro-Guyanese A Partnership for National Unity and the multiracial Alliance for Change ( APNU/AFC ) won the May 11th election 207,200 to the PPP/C’s 202,694 following one of the highest voter turnouts in the country’s history.

According to Brad Goodman, a US based campaign consultant for the Granger campaign, two key campaign goals were identifying ways to circumvent the state run media to reach voters, especially the youth of Guyana, and overcoming the significant fundraising advantage of the incumbent party.

“I had previously used El Toro in a number of US elections and knew it was the type of tool that would make a difference in Guyana. By using El Toro, we were able to target voters on a granular level with the right messages at the right time. El Toro was a key part to the historic change of power in Guyana, something that had not happened since 1992.”

With 60% of the country using mobile devices, Stacy Griggs, the El Toro CEO and the El Toro team added digital buys on Facebook and mobile targeting to the overall campaign strategy. “We implemented a multi-layered campaign and delivered several million impressions to reach voters across the entire country. President Granger and his team were very digitally savvy and knew that online outreach, especially to the youth of Guyana, would be critical to winning the election.”
