In a recent study published in the journal Dentistry, researchers have found a connection between gum disease and prostatitis, which is a condition in men that causes the prostate to swell. The study tested close to 30 men over the age of 21 who experienced both gum disease and prostatitis. According to the study, after the men underwent treatment for gum disease, they saw significant improvement in their gums within four to eight weeks.
