Free Coaching Teaches Distinctions From Current No.1 NYT Best Seller, “Triggers”

A free, online executive coaching program that teaches leadership distinctions from the current No1 New York Times Best Selling Business Book “Triggers”, by Marshall Goldsmith, was release in Melbourne today.

Melbourne, Australia – August 28, 2015 /PressCable/

“Triggers: Creating Behaviour That Lasts”, is the latest contribution to Leadership thought by executive coaching luminary and best-selling author Marshall Goldsmith, and it is currently the #1 best -selling business book on The New York Times best sellers list.

Goldsmith is one of the most influential business thinkers of our time. He is consistently listed among the top ten most-influential business thinkers in the world. He was designated the “highest rated executive coach” at the biennial Thinkers50 Conferences in 2011 and 2013 and was recognized as the Most Influential Leadership Thinker in the World by that group in 2011.

The cornerstone of Goldsmiths contribution to leadership training is his concept of Stakeholder Centred Coaching, which has had a tremendous influence on the ability of senior executives to measurably improve their leadership effectiveness, through the successful implementation of behavioural changes in their leadership style.

In fact the effectiveness of Goldsmith’s coaching methodology was categorically proven when a comprehensive study among 11,000 business leaders in 8 multinational companies on 4 continents concluded that 95% of leaders who consistently applied Stakeholder Centred Coaching measurably improved their leadership effectiveness.[1]

Speaking in August this year about the release of his latest book, Goldsmith discussed the two immutable truths of behavioural change. 1. The first is that change is “hard to do”. 2. The second is that “change needs to come from inside…” That means it’s hard to initiate behavioural change and it’s hard to stay the course and make the changes stick, which is why the second truth is so important.

“No one can make us change unless we truly want to change”. Said Goldsmith “It can’t be dictated, demanded or otherwise forced upon people…. I’ve found that to be true over the course of my career, and that’s why I won’t work with anyone who is not interested in making change happen. The same is true for leaders looking to foster organizational change. They need to prime the business and inspire employees to embrace the needed changes. Otherwise, the change won’t work.” he said.

Goldsmith runs a Global Executive Coaching organisation that delivers his coaching programs and today one of his certified Coaches, Kerry Little, released a free executive coaching report designed to introduce business leaders to some of the key distinctions that underpin Stakeholder Centred Coaching.

Speaking at the launch today Little said “The reason Stakeholder Centred Coaching works is because the focus is on identifying and measuring the effects a person’s leadership style has on the performance of their people, which is the single most critical influencing effect a leader can have on productivity. The key is shifting the focus onto the skills of leadership, rather than the skills of the leader himself.”

“The free online course I’m launching today introduces executives to this paradigm shift, via an easy to implement online program that they can complete in a relatively small amount of time, I’m talking as little as 20 to 40 minutes a week, over just three weeks” said Mr Little.

“This makes trying behavioural coaching a ‘no brainer’ because the time investment is so small, and there’s no cost, so there’s no barrier!” At the end of the program participants get a comprehensive debrief to help them identify the key things they learned, and how they can easily implement them and become a more effective leader.”

Theralase Releases 2Q2015 Financials

TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / August 28, 2015 / Theralase Technologies Inc. (“Theralase” or the “Company”) (TSXV: TLT) (PINKSHEETS: TLTFF), a leading biotechnology manufacturer focused on commercializing medical technologies to eliminate pain and destroy cancer, released its second quarter 2015 financial results today. Revenue for the six-month period ended June 30, 2015 decreased by 21% from the same period in 2014.

In Canada, revenue increased 11% to $562,890 from $508,523, while US revenue decreased 54% from $215,107 to $99,343 and international revenue decreased 89% from $136,807 to $15,584. The moderate increase in Canadian revenue and the corresponding decrease in US and international revenue is attributable to the Company’s mandate of realigning its sales and marketing team for the anticipated launch of the next generation therapeutic laser system, starting in Canada, in 4Q2015. Once launched in Canada, the Company will focus on building out its sales and marketing team first in the US and then internationally, in 2016.

The cost of sales for the six-month period ended June 30, 2015 was $243,394 resulting in a gross margin of $434,423 (64% of revenue), compared to a cost of sales of $245,828 in 2014, resulting in a gross margin of $614,609 (71% of revenue).

Sales and marketing expenses for the six-month period ended June 30, 2015 were $402,598 (59% of revenue), compared with $301,716 (35% of revenue) in 2014. The increase represents investment on sales and marketing personnel, for launch of the next generation therapeutic laser system, which will augment sales in future financial quarters.

Administrative expenses for the six month period ended June 30, 2015 were $982,841 (78% increase) from $550,986 in 2014. Increases in administrative expenses for the six month period ended June 30, 2015 were attributable to the following:

– General and administrative expenses increased 83% due to increased spending on investor relations and research scientist activities
– Professional fees increased by 166% due to increased legal fees for additional trademark and intellectual property patents to protect the Company’s latest technological advances in both its therapeutic laser and anti-cancer divisions.
– Stock based compensation increased by 412% as a result of granting and vesting of stock options to certain employees, directors and officers of the Company in Q22015.

Research and development expenses totaled $1,356,664 for the six month period ended June 30, 2015 compared to $441,647 in 2014 (207% increase). Research and development expenses represented 50% of the Company’s operating expenses for the period and represent direct investment into commercialization efforts of the TLC-2000 therapeutic laser technology and research and development expenses of the TLC-3000 anti-cancer technology.

The net loss for the six month period ended June 30, 2015 was $2,279,117 which included $197,151 of net non-cash expenses (amortization, stock-based compensation expense, foreign exchange gain/loss and lease inducements). This compared to a net loss for the same period in 2014 of $689,726, which included $64,304 of net non-cash expenses. The Photo Dynamic Therapy (“PDT”) division represented $1,481,001 of this loss (65%). The increase in net loss is due to increased investment in research and development, sales and marketing personnel and administrative personnel all related to the pending launch of the next generation therapeutic laser and the commencement of a Phase Ib clinical study for Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (“NMIBC”) in 4Q2015.

Roger Dumoulin-White, President and CEO, Theralase stated that, “Theralase’s mandate has been to maintain product sales and market acceptance of the TLC-1000 laser technology in the Canadian market for the first three quarters of 2015, while awaiting Health Canada approval of its next generation therapeutic laser system. In 4Q2015, pending Health Canada approval, the Company will focus its energy and resources on successfully launching, increasing sales and growing market acceptance of the next generation TLC-2000 laser technology in Canada and then repeating this success in the United States and internationally, in 2016. In the anti-cancer division, the Company is in the final steps of completing the research and development of its patented and patent pending anti-cancer technology allowing enrollment of patients in a Phase Ib human clinical trial for the treatment of NMIBC in 4Q2015.”

Mr. Dumoulin-White concluded that, “The Company is confident that the successful execution of these strategic initiatives will dramatically increase shareholder value.”

GeckoSystems, an AI Mobile Robot, Responding to Major US Defense Contractor Requirement

CONYERS, GA / ACCESSWIRE / August 28, 2015 / GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (http://www.geckosystems.com/) (OTC PINK: GOSY) (PINKSHEETS: GOSY), announced today that as a result of recently contacting this major, international US defense contractor, that the contractor not only wishes to have a formal proposal from GeckoSystems, but has scheduled an initial meeting next month between key representatives of the two companies at the contractor’s primary R&D facility. For over eighteen years GeckoSystems has dedicated itself to development of “AI Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service(tm).”

“Due to our long time focus on the penultimate necessity for AI mobile robots to be safer for humans than simply having ‘human meaningful control,’ prior to this engagement, we have never considered any US defense contractor to be sufficiently safety conscious for us to offer them our proprietary, exclusive, readily lethalized Artificial Intelligence (AI) mobile robot technologies. The concern is that the technologies might be used without adequate safeguards to prevent human harm. After careful and thorough vetting of this company and its management, we consider them trustworthy. The program manager indicated an immediate desire that we submit a proposal to augment one of their offerings with our AI centric real time sense and avoid of moving and/or unforeseen obstacles,” stated Martin Spencer, CEO, GeckoSystems Intl. Corp.

GeckoSystems would also like to welcome its new Program Manager, retired Navy Commander Michael Goldschmidt, to lead its Government Systems Division. “I want to thank Mr. Spencer for bringing me onto this project. Used responsibly, GeckoSystems’ AI mobile robotics technologies have almost unimaginable potential to improve safety and independence in people’s everyday lives. I am very pleased to be a part of that future,” commented Commander Goldschmidt.

“Without CDR Goldschmidt’s proven leadership abilities and military experience, we simply would not have initiated, nor undertaken in any manner, our first and only foray into the defense industry,” continued Spencer.

In order to understand the importance of GeckoSystems’ breakthrough, proprietary, and exclusive AI software and why this major defense contractor desires a proposal from GeckoSystems, it’s important to acknowledge some basic realities for all forms of automatic, non-human intervention, vehicular locomotion and steering.

1. Laws of Physics such as Conservation of Energy, inertia, and momentum, limit a vehicle’s ability to stop or maneuver. If, for instance, a car’s braking system design cannot generate enough friction for a given road surface to stop the car in 100 feet after brake application, that’s a real limitation. If a car cannot corner at more than .9g due to a combination of suspension design and road conditions, that, also, is reality. Regardless how talented a NASCAR driver may be, if his race car is inadequate, he’s not going to win races.

2. At the same time, if a car driver (or pilot) is tired, drugged, distracted, etc. their reflex time becomes too slow to react in a timely fashion to unexpected direction changes of moving obstacles, or the sudden appearance of fixed obstacles. Many car “accidents” result from drunk driving due to reflex time and/or judgment impairment. Average reflex time takes between 150 & 300ms. http://tinyurl.com/nsrx75n

3. In robotic systems, “human reflex time” is known as Worst Case Execution Time (WCET). Historically, in computer systems engineering, WCET of a computational task is the maximum length of time the task could take to execute on a specific hardware platform. In big data, this is the time to load up the data to be processed, processed, and then outputted into a useful distillations, summaries, or common sense insights. GeckoSystems’ basic AI self-guidance navigation system processes 147 megabytes of data per second using low cost, commercial off the shelf (COTS) single board computers (SBC”s).

4. Highly trained and skilled jet fighter pilots have a reflex time (WCET) of less than 120ms. Their “eye to hand” coordination time is a fundamental criterion for them to be successful jet fighter pilots. The same holds true for all high performance forms of transportation that are sufficiently pushing the limits of the Laws of Physics to require the quickest possible reaction time for safe human control and/or usage.

5. GeckoSystems’ WCET is less than 100ms, or as quick, or quicker than most gifted jet fighter pilots, NASCAR race car drivers, etc. while using low cost COTS and SBC’s

6. In mobile robotic guidance systems, WCET has 3 fundamental components.

a. Sufficient Field Of View (FOV) with appropriate granularity, accuracy, and update rate.
b. Rapid processing of that contextual data such that common sense responses are generated.
c. Timely physical execution of those common sense responses.

Due to the quickness of GeckoSystems’ WCET, nearly all forms of all vehicles can achieve the ability to real time sense and avoid of moving, and/or unforeseen (unmapped) obstacles. This is the fundamental reason this major defense contractor wishes to have a proposal submitted from GeckoSystems. Not only can their land-based vehicles be safer and more autonomous (nearly no emergency human intervention), but also all forms of drones including boats, aircraft, undersea vehicles, and more.

Those organizations and firms that do not have videos portraying that their robotic vehicles’ (drones, driverless cars, self driving cars, etc.) abilities to timely sense and avoid moving obstacles, simply cannot do so, as GeckoSystems can: http://t.co/NqqM22TbKN

All mobile robotic vehicles are therefore unsafe for human usage unless the AI “driver” is jet fighter pilot reflex quick and not “drugged, distracted, or lacking good enough vision” to be allowed to drive in public, people congested areas.

As a result of GeckoSystems worldwide preeminence in this essential WCET parameter, for several years running now, GeckoSystems has been identified many times as one of the top five to top ten mobile service robot companies in the world. Several internationally renowned market research firms, such as Research and Markets, have named GeckoSystems as one of the key market players in the mobile robotics industry.

“Due to the preeminent position of this international US defense contractor, it would be untimely and imprudent to reveal their identity at this time due to the sensitivity and delicacy of these initial negotiations. Nonetheless, it is very satisfying to make this announcement and provide “reason to believe” for the basis of their sincere and genuine interest in securing some of our AI mobile robot solutions for their present and future products. As would be expected at this time, we have other ongoing negotiations, not only in the US, but also in Japan and China. After many years of patience by our current 1300+ stockholders, they can be assured that the present management continues to work to maximize their investments in GeckoSystems whether by organic growth or by acquisition at a rewarding premium,” concluded Spencer.

About GeckoSystems:

GeckoSystems has been developing innovative robotic technologies for over fifteen years. It is CEO Martin Spencer’s dream to make people’s lives better through robotic technology.

An overview of GeckoSystems’ progress containing over 700 pictures and 120 videos can be found at http://www.geckosystems.com/timeline/.

These videos illustrate the development of the technology that makes GeckoSystems a world leader in Service Robotics development. Early CareBot prototypes were slower and frequently pivoted in order to avoid a static or dynamic obstacle; later prototypes avoided obstacles without pivoting. Current CareBots avoid obstacles with a graceful “bicycle smooth” motion. The latest videos also depict the CareBot’s ability to automatically go faster or slower depending on the amount of clutter (number of obstacles) within its field of view. This is especially important when avoiding moving obstacles in “loose crowd” situations like a mall or an exhibit area.

In addition to the timeline videos, GeckoSystems has numerous YouTube videos. The most popular of which are the ones showing room-to-room automatic self-navigation of the CareBot through narrow doorways and a hallway of an old 1954 home. You will see the CareBot slow down when going through the doorways because of their narrow width and then speed up as it goes across the relatively open kitchen area. There are also videos of the SafePath(tm) wheelchair, which is a migration of the CareBot AI centric navigation system to a standard power wheelchair, and recently developed cost effective depth cameras were used in this recent configuration. SafePath navigation is now available to OEM licensees and these videos show the versatility of GeckoSystems’ fully autonomous navigation solution.

GeckoSystems, Star Wars Technology

The company has successfully completed an Alpha trial of its CareBot personal assistance robot for the elderly. It was tested in a home care setting and received enthusiastic support from both caregivers and care receivers. The company believes that the CareBot will increase the safety and well being of its elderly charges while decreasing stress on the caregiver and the family.

CareBot has incorporated Microsoft Kinect depth cameras that result in a significant cost reduction.

Kinect Enabled Personal Robot video

Above, the CareBot demonstrates static and dynamic obstacle avoidance as it backs in and out of a narrow and cluttered alley. There is no joystick control or programmed path; movements are smoother that those achieved using a joystick control. GeckoNav creates three low levels of obstacle avoidance: reactive, proactive, and contemplative. Subsumptive AI behavior within GeckoNav enables the CareBot to reach its target destination after engaging in obstacle avoidance.

announced that it has launched a major strategic initiative focused on becoming a fully integrated company for delivering high value products
and training to Uruguay’s burgeoning cannabis cultivation industry.

“Uruguay’s recent liberalization of the cannabis cultivation and consumption laws will allow us to establish a presence in the region
just as the more populous countries are beginning to formally recognize the medicinal value of cannabis and are looking for reliable sources of
production,” said SAGD’s CEO, Marianne Rasmussen.

The company will import value-added products and develop local expertise to aid in the region’s growth as a regional center for
cultivation.

About SAGD:

South American Gold Corp is focused on becoming the premiere provider of value added products and services for the cultivation and processing of cannabis for the South American medical and recreational markets with an initial focus on the Uruguayan market.
