Collins Barrow Brown Expands Debt Counseling And Personal Bankruptcy Services

September 15, 2015 – – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada based Collins Barrow Brown Inc has expanded the debt counseling services that they provide to their clients. The company is staffed by professional accountants, and experienced in personal bankruptcy issues. Sarah Johnson, spokesperson for Collins Barrow Brown Inc, explained, “We can help those in debt to stop harassing phone calls and law suits. We’ve expanded our service reach, to include a number of solutions for debtors, and we can help individuals in many areas.”

A study by Statistics Canada shows that more than 70 percent of all Canadian households are in debt, including mortgage debt as well as auto loans, home remodels, and credit cards. The majority of consumers are not bogged down by credit card spending. They are simply not making enough money to cover their living expenses in many cases. At the end of 2014, the combined debt for Canadian wage earners was more than $1 trillion. Today, those earning at least $100,000 or more annually account for nearly 40 percent of Canadian households. Many, however, even in light of being in the top earning positions, are struggling.

Sarah Johnson said, “It’s a vicious cycle, and one we’re trying to help individuals get out of. Originally, we would find ourselves working with low income earners, but today, our service reach has expanded significantly to include those who earn higher amounts, which are high enough that one wouldn’t think they would need debt counseling; but they do.”

The study by Statistics Canada, in fact, shows that Americans are saving more money yearly than Canadians. Sarah Johnson states, “We want to help Canadians to lower their debts and begin saving for those rainy days.”

Collins Barrow Brown Inc helps consumers to stop wage garnishments and other collection proceedings, by implementing a debt solution that will address individual concerns, and find monthly payments that individuals can afford, rather than watch them drown in debt or file bankruptcy.

The company has expanded its reach substantially over the past few months. They are finding more and more solutions as individual cases come up. More about them and what they can do for debt control can be found on their website.

Skischule Zell am See Introduces New V.I.P. Lesson Offering

September 15, 2015 – – Zell am See, Austria – Skischule (Ski School) Zell am See, a leading ski instruction institution in Zell am See, announced today that is introducing a new V.I.P. level of private ski instruction. The new instruction type is intended for skiers who want to focus on developing at their own unique level – no matter how advanced it may be. Skischule already offers group and private ski lessons at five different skill levels.

“The V.I.P. lesson is about taking your skiing to the next level,” said Ziga Breznik. “The only limit is your desire to excel.”

Before the introduction of the V.I.P. lessons, the school had group lessons, which typically involved more than four students at a time. Skischule has two types of private lessons: one on one and private group, which has up to three students. The V.I.P. lesson is one on one.

Skischule has lessons for beginners, which teach novices how to stop and do some basic snow plough turns on blue slopes. The school’s Recreational level of instruction progresses to basic parallel turns. At this point, the student is ready for a red slope. Intermediate students gain more skill in parallel turns.

At the Advanced level, the student is capable of going at high speed on red slopes and doing linked turns. Experts are able to ski on all slopes from blue to black and do fast carving turns and even jumps.

The school’s website, skischoolzellamsee.com contains extensive information about choosing the right skis and boots, as well as clothing. “It’s a shame, and honestly, quite uncomfortable, to have the wrong skis, boots and clothing,” Ziga added. “Who wants to be cold and get blisters? Check out our site and we will make sure you get outfitted right.”

How Much Power Does the Brain have Over an Individual’s Weight?

Obesity is the phenomena in which a person is overweight to the extent that it can affect the individual’s physical and mental health negatively.

The situation is increasing at an alarming rate all over the world. It is projected that diseases arising from obesity will be the largest cause of deaths by 2020. Lack of physical activity is considered to be a major factor of obesity; however, certain psychological factors are also involved in making a person overweight and obese.

Eating disorders:

An eating disorder that contributes to obesity is the tendency of a person to consume excessive amounts of food throughout the day. For instance, the individual eats multiple times a day even though they are not hungry. Eating disorders are a psychological problem, and it is one of the leading causes contributing to obesity. A person with an eating disorder always feels the need to consume more and more food frequently, although the body does not need it.

Depression:

Depression is a psychological issue within an individual. Experienced by many, depression is a mental problem but that can lead to overeating. A depressed person usually withdraws from their day-to-day activities. Furthermore, the individual might lose the urge to indulge in sports, games and exercises due to the fact that the individual’s mind is constantly filled with pessimistic and depressing thoughts; therefore, the lack to physical activities coupled with the tendency to overeat leads to obesity.

Addiction To Junk Food:

This factor is very relevant in the modern society. The youth of today have a high affinity for junk food and fast food. These type of foods are considered very unhealthy, and they are one of the largest contributors toward obesity in youth. Often addiction to junk food is a psychological factor. The body does not need the food, yet the mind feels the necessity to consume it.

Marketing Techniques Used by Food Companies:

The marketing that food companies do to promote their products induce a psychological effect. Currently, companies such as fast food chains and other eateries employ marketing experts. These marketing experts create a psychological effect in the minds of the prospective customer which makes the customers feel the increased necessity to consume the food items in excessive quantities. Overeating of these foods items leads to obesity among individuals.

No matter which psychological problem or effect an individual is experiencing, obesity is always a risk. Health professionals can be employed to help an individual suffering from obesity and all the mental health problems that arise with it. Those who get help sooner rather than later have a better chance of succeeding in a healthier lifestyle.

Power Morcellator Lawsuit Filed By South Carolina Widower

September 15, 2015 – – Tracey & Fox have reported that the widower of a South Carolina woman has elected to file a complaint against Johnson & Johnson in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina Greenville Division under case number 6:15-cv-00516-MGL.

Johnson & Johnson manufactured and promoted a surgical device they named the Gynecare Morcellex. This device is one of many power morcellators marketed to the medical community for use in laparoscopic surgeries.

Power morcellators have been used for the last several decades by surgeons who are performing minimally invasive procedures. Two of the most common laparoscopic surgeries in women are hysterectomies and myomectomies, which are often recommended by doctors as a treatment for uterine fibroids. Uterine fibroids are typically benign, but can grow so large that they distort the uterus causing pain and bleeding.

The wife of the plaintiff, in this case, was suffering from menometrorrhagia, a condition where there is excessive uterine bleeding both during the menstrual period and other irregular times. In some cases, the bleeding can be so excessive that the patient suffers from anemia due to the blood loss. Her doctor recommended a total robotic hysterectomy and cystoscopy to treat her condition.

Prior to her surgery there was no evidence that she was also harboring any form of uterine cancer, but devastatingly when her doctor received the biopsy report he informed her that some of the uterine tissue which had been shredded by the power morcellator contained leiomyosarcoma. She aggressively fought the cancer, but two years after her hysterectomy, she passed away. The complaint alleges that “The device, in cutting and shredding the uterine fibroid, ruptured the capsule containing the cancerous tissue and spread the shredded tissue in her abdominal cavity. That action changed the course and prognosis of the leiomyosarcoma cancer which had been encapsulated; upstaging it and profoundly injuring the patient, leading to her death.”

Several months after her death, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration updated a safety warning regarding the use of power morcellators during gynecological laparoscopic surgeries. This warning stated “If laparoscopic power morcellation is performed in women with unsuspected uterine sarcoma, there is a risk that the procedure will spread the cancerous tissue within the abdomen and pelvis, significantly worsening the patient’s long-term survival.” The FDA also created a “black box” label for all power morcellators which reads, “The FDA warns that uterine tissue may contain unsuspected cancer. The use of laparoscopic power morcellators during fibroid surgery may spread cancer, and decrease the long-term survival of patients. This information should be shared with patients when considering surgery with the use of these devices.”
