Cabinet Grow, Inc. Announces Agreement for Debt Restructuring

Financial Partner Chicago Venture Partners Shows Patience and Confidence

IRVINE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 24, 2015 / Cabinet Grow Inc., (The “Company”) (OTCQB: CBNT), a developer and marketer of cabinet-based horticultural systems, announced today that effective September 10, 2015, the Company and Chicago Venture Partners, L.P. (“CVP”) executed a six month Forbearance and Standstill Agreement (the “Agreement”) related to the Convertible Promissory Note (the “Note”) issued in May 2014. Pursuant to the Agreement, for a period of ninety days (the “Standstill Period”) there will be no lender conversions and there are no monthly installment obligations due to CVP. For the ninety days following the Standstill Period, Cabinet Grow and CVP have agreed to a lender conversion price of $0.40 per share (previously $0.20 per share) and a monthly installment obligation of $50,000. Any lender conversions made by CVP during the ninety days following the Standstill Period will be deducted from the monthly installment obligation.

Federal Government Considers Mandating Speed Limiters on Commercial Trucks

Texas truck accident lawyer discusses a DOT proposal that requires the use of speed limiters on trucks weighing more than 27,000 pounds.

The Department of Transportation has sent a proposal mandating the use of speed limiters (also referred to as governors) on all trucks that weigh more than 27,000 pounds to the White House’s Office of Management and Budget. The rule is a joint proposal by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The latest rulemakings report by the Department of Transportation projects that the rule will receive clearance by the OMB mid-August.

Opposing Views?

Some remain skeptical about whether the mandate will actually be welcomed by the trucking industry. Texas based truck accident lawyer Amy Witherite of the Eberstein Witherite LLP firm suggests that a number of truckers may already be searching for devices to help them bypass speed limiters. Says the attorney “I’ve seen programming tools made available for sale online that enable truck drivers to adjust speed limiting devices from inside of their cab.” Related terms are popular search items says the attorney, which raises questions about who it is primarily conducting these types of searches and why.

Evidence to support the notion that speed limiters may not be so widely well received within the industry are claims made earlier this year by the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association suggesting uniform speeds for truckers and passenger vehicle drivers are a safer option.

OOIDA Executive Vice President Todd Spencer wrote a letter to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stating “OOIDA writes to ensure that you and [the Office of Management and Budget] understand that when cars and trucks operate at different speeds on the highway, there is a significant negative impact on safety… Traffic is more dynamic and less predictable. Accidents increase. Your agencies must ensure you do not produce a mandate that will arbitrarily add dangerous car-truck speed differentials to our nation’s highways.”

The Big Picture Impact on Truck Safety

Time will tell what the overall impact of the new rule if approved will be. Witherite says of the measure “there appears to be more evidence to show it will help protect the lives of so many drivers and riders of passenger vehicles that are placed at risk of truck drivers who negligently speed than not.”

Dallas Discrimination Attorney Explains – Battling Discrimination in the Hiring Process as a Minority

Job seekers everywhere face many challenges in finding employment. Whether one is seeking a part time job, full-time employment, or temporary work, there can be barriers to getting hired for a position in a highly competitive market. Most of these challenges; however, are common issues faced by job seekers regardless of characteristics such as their gender or ethnic background. These key challenges are related to things like whether an applicant has the right skills, experience, or educational requirements, and how well they do in the interview process.

Unfortunately there are also numerous cases reported to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission each year where individuals believe they were victims of discrimination during the job hiring process because of their status as a minority. A number of these claims prove valid, illustrating why there may be a worrisome outlook for those who fear they will have limited opportunities because of the negative attitudes and prejudices of some employers.

Recently, TIME magazine released an article about a related battle that some minority job seekers face in looking for work. According to the report, research shows that white job applicants are called back for interviews at a higher rate than African American applicants who are equally qualified. Disparities between female job applicants and male applicants have also been documented.

“Discrimination in the hiring process has limited the opportunities available to both racial minorities – such as African Americans – and women, with important consequences for their well-being and careers…For example, research has shown that white job applicants receive 50% more callbacks for interviews than equally qualified African American applicants. The article points out that past studies have focused more on discrimination against individuals in protected classes who are already employed; therefore far less has been documented about discrimination during the hiring process. However, according to Texas based employment discrimination attorney Carson Croft, it is important that job applicants know that there are legal protections for them if they face discrimination in the hiring process or at any stage of obtaining employment. The attorneys says, “too many employers are able to fly under the radar when they choose not to interview or hire someone based on their race or gender.”

According to EEOC guidelines certain hiring activities are not permissible under the law and may be punishable if found to be a violation. The agency says on its website “It is unlawful to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race or color in regard to hiring, termination, promotion, compensation, job training, or any other term, condition, or privilege of employment. Title VII also prohibits employment decisions based on stereotypes and assumptions about abilities, traits, or the performance of individuals of certain racial groups.”

Croft says there are red flags that may signal discrimination during the hiring process that minority job applicants who feel an employer may have acted unlawfully can be mindful of. These include:

Golden Dawn Minerals Inc. Appoints Dr. Mathew Ball to Manage Greenwood Precious Metal Projects

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 24, 2015 / Wolf Wiese, CEO of Golden Dawn Minerals Inc., (TSXV: GOM) (FSE: 3G8N) (the “Company” or “Golden Dawn“) announces that it has engaged Dr. Mathew Ball, P.Geo., to manage its exploration and development programs for the Greenwood Precious Metal Project.

Dr. Ball is a geologist with over 30 years of worldwide experience including underground precious metals mine development programs. For the past 5 years he was President and COO at the Bralorne gold mine in B.C. Dr. Ball brings a wealth of practical experience and knowledge of lode and epithermal gold-silver, porphyry copper-gold and related skarn deposits, all of which occur in the Greenwood area. The addition of Dr. Ball, with his extensive experience in precious metal narrow vein development, will contribute to the company’s success of further definition of the epithermal and or hydrothermal deposits underlying the historically mined mineralized material on the May Mac mine complex.

Golden Dawn’s Greenwood Precious Metal Project includes surface and underground mine exploration programs with the aim of outlining a precious metal resource for trial mining and bulk sampling. The Company aims to continue this work towards achieving a sustainable mining operation utilizing its existing mill facility (currently 100 ton/day capacity with upgrade potential to 200ton/day) at the May Mac mine on the Boundary Falls property.

Dr. Ball recently conducted a site visit to the property and laid out a work program starting with surface drilling to test the known gold and silver bearing veins. Targets include the May Mac mine’s 10 levels, and the Amigo and No. 1 veins situated 1,000 meters south of the mill processing facility of the May Mac Mine. The immediate work program is focussed on confirming the continuity of veins in the May Mac mine ahead and to depth, by surface and underground drilling.

May Mac is a silver-gold vein deposit with historic production from multiple, structurally-controlled quartz veins. The mine has excellent potential for extensions of known zones along strike and to depth. The nearby Amigo and No. 1 vein adits are historic underground mine workings that have been dormant for over 40 years. In addition, there are geophysical and geochemical anomalies on the property that may be related to the May Mac vein system. These deposits may also be part of a group of epithermal precious metal deposits developed in recent years in the Republic District in Washington State, only 20-30 km south of the Greenwood Precious Metal Project.

Exploration work will start as soon as the existing surface drilling permit is amended for this year’s program. The existing multi-year permit is valid until the end of 2016 and is being amended to allow for additional holes to be drilled. A permit for underground exploration is already in place. The Company also holds a mine permit for the May Mac mine, mill and tailings pond, as well as for water supply. Mobilization of equipment to begin the programs will be initiated upon receiving the surface drilling permit amendment.
