Inspired by Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey: The Giveaway Channel

April 28, 2016 – – giveawayOprah Winfrey once said, “It’s not just about being able to write a check. It’s being able to touch somebody’s life.” This is the attitude and philosophy behind The Giveaway Channel, a site and YouTube channel created for the sole purpose of being a free product giveaway outlet.

The goal is to touch as many lives as possible and give people hope with the aim that they will pass on that feeling to others.

Compassion and charity are contagious, and once ignited they have the power to change the world.

“It all starts by support and word of mouth, and if you provide a place where your only goal is to share your success then success and change become that much easier,” states The Giveaway Channel’s founder, who wishes to remain anonymous.

Growing up, one of the favorite shows in his household was Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres. Every day his mother would watch these shows just to see how they would help those in need. It helped bring her peace knowing that no matter what was going on in her life that might be stressing her out or making her upset, seeing someone be so selfless helped reassure her there was still good in the world.

He found this strange, seeing his mother find so much satisfaction watching other people’s happiness.

“I would see my mother crying and overcome with joy when Ellen or Oprah would give away things to others, it was as if she herself had won something,” states the founder. “When I asked her why she was so happy watching others win, she simply said: Happiness is contagious.”

The founder says this is the moment he realized that when he was able to, he wanted to spread happiness all around the world.

“Often times we get so caught up in worrying about whether or not we have enough to take care of ourselves that we forget to be considerate and bring joy to those around us, and especially those less fortunate than ourselves,” claims the founder.

The owner emphasized that the goal of The Giveaway Channel is to expand beyond just giving away things to subscribers on YouTube. That one day he envisions a place that will be a platform for changing lives by giving away scholarships and setting up charities to help build schools, wells, and housing for those around the world that do not have access to these things.

“There are so many little things we take for granted here in the U.S., like water. Can you imagine going a day without having clean water? There are millions of people around the world that go thirsty every day, or do not have a place to lay their head at night except the cold hard ground, this is truly disheartening,” says the founder. “While the U.S. may have programs such as welfare, and unemployment to help a lot of those people here, there are still more here and all over the world that need our help.”

Abraham Lincoln once said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

The Giveaway Channel is the founder’s way of helping to create that future. “Taking the advice of wise men that came before us and using a different approach to the conventional way of thinking, can impact the soul in such a way, that as a people we have the power to change the problems that are destroying the world we live in. Instead of greed, selfishness, and hate; the goal is to conquer those things and use love as catalyst for change. As Gandhi said, ‘Be the change you want to see in the World.’”

Anyone who wants to be a part of this change, or just wants a chance to win some cool prizes can go and subscribe to The Giveaway Channel YouTube channel. By being a subscriber and watching the videos one will have a chance to win all kinds of prizes, including hoverboards, TVs, cell phones, tablets, and much more.

Document Trunk Launches Patent Pending Estate Planning Digital Storage Space

April 28, 2016 – – Phoenix, AZ couple Brian and Natasha Beal and owners of ValueCardAlliance.Com created a digital safety deposit box called DocumentTrunk.Com after searching for a better option to safely store their most important documents.

Brian and Natasha Beal Document Trunk Phoenix AZ

Phoenix-based DocumentTrunk.Com not only stores precious documents, such as the last will and testament, estate plans and power of attorney, but takes a proactive approach after the user dies or suffers a serious injury.

Beal commented, “We asked our programmers to build a software to safely store your documents, then we asked them to create a list of people who needed to be contacted when something happened, and more importantly who should get social media passwords, who would get the will, etc.”

Document Trunk is a comprehensive estate planning digital storage space which includes lists of attorneys, estate planners, family and friends who should be contacted once the person dies.

Document Trunk proactively searches the internet 24/7 for deaths or serious injuries in its database of users through its patent-pending search feature.

“If it finds a death that matches its member users, it will notify staff, who will verify whether the person has indeed died and then contact the people on the preferred list to distribute the documents,” Beal said.

“This search feature isn’t available anywhere else,” he said. “It was very exciting to my attorney who wanted to use it right away for his clients.”

What started as a convenient way to store vital documents for the Beal family turned into a viable, growing business.

“We thought maybe this was something we can partner with attorneys, trust makers, life planners and life insurance agents,” Beal said. “It grew and grew from that.”

The Beals took about a year to get developers to create the Document Trunk cloud-based software and search function.

“We needed different programming to search the entire internet without getting too much information on each person,” Beal said.

The Beals first had friends and family use Document Trunk, before officially launching the software in March.

Lawsuit Claims Invokana Side Effects Precipitated Development of Diabetic Ketoacidosis & Links To Stroke

April 28, 2016 – – TheProductLawyers.com summarizes an Invokana lawsuit filed by a diabetes patient against Janssen Pharmaceuticals in the Southern District of Alabama specifically related to the development of a life-threatening medical condition called diabetic ketoacidosis. The plaintiff claims she began using Invokana in December 2014 and the ketoacidosis developed shortly after. She is alleging in her lawsuit that this potentially life-threatening condition was caused by her use of Invokana.

Diabetic ketoacidosis is a life-threatening condition that, if undiagnosed or untreated, can cause a diabetic coma and death in the most extreme case. Ketoacidosis can develop within 24 hours, and results from too much toxic acid in the bloodstream. The impacts of this condition can be very disconcerting to diabetes patients due to the inability to sometimes properly diagnose the condition, as several recent cases have not presented elevated blood sugar levels which is usually an indicator of the onset of ketoacidosis.

Further details as provided in court documents indicate that the plaintiff had been unaware of the potential risks of developing ketoacidosis and claims that Janssen Pharmaceuticals negligently failed to publicize this possible side effect. She additionally has stated in her court filing that the drug was not sufficiently studied and was advertised “off-label” since it was marketed to be a treatment for type-1 diabetes and high blood pressure. The Food and Drug Administration {FDA} has only approved the drug as a treatment for type-2 diabetes.

According to the American Diabetes Association symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis may include excessive thirst and dry mouth, frequent urination, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, fruity-scented breath, and a sense of general confusion. The FDA in its desire to protect those subject to this potential side effect is encouraging patients to be aware of the cited symptoms and seek medical attention as quickly as possible if they should arise.

Invokana Lawsuit: Side Effects Claimed by Plaintiff to Have Caused the Development of Diabetic Ketoacidosis

April 28, 2016 – – TheProductLawyers.com reports on a lawsuit filed in the Southern District of Alabama under case number 1:15-cv-00636, by a diabetes patient who used Invokana, a new-generation, type 2 diabetes drug. The plaintiff is suing Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson Corporation, alleging that she developed diabetic ketoacidosis shortly after starting to take the drug in December 2014, and that it was caused by her use of Invokana.

Diabetic ketoacidosis is a very dangerous medical condition if not treated immediately in that it can cause diabetic coma and, in some extreme cases, death. The condition arises when there is too much toxic acid in the bloodstream due to the production of ketones. The patient can become symptomatic of ketoacidosis in a very short time, as little as 24 hours. It can sometimes be hard to diagnose at first, which is not comforting to a diabetes patient who may have deal with this condition.

The plaintiff in this particular case claims that she was not informed of this potential risk due to taking the drug and also claims that Janssen Pharmaceuticals was willfully negligent since it did not reveal this information to the public. She also is taking the drug company to task in her lawsuit for not properly studying the impact of the drug on patients and for marketing it “off-label” to treat type 1 diabetes and high blood pressure, which means that the drug was not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for that purpose.

The FDA in a public safety communication expressed concern over this possible potential side effect and has asked patients who may be susceptible to this risk due to taking Invokana or other SGLT2 inhibitor drugs to be cognizant of any symptoms that may arise that may denote the onset of ketoacidosis. As per the Mayo Clinic, symptoms may include confusion, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, frequent urination, excessive thirst, nausea and vomiting, and fruity-scented breath.

Xarelto Lawsuit Plaintiffs Note Allegation Similarities To Pradaxa Lawsuits, Gain Encouragement

April 28, 2016 – – BloodThinnerHelp.com reports on the resemblence of arguments in Xarelto lawsuits to that of older Pradaxa lawsuits, which has provided current plaintiffs with hope as they pursue what they believe to be justice. Xarelto lawsuit filings have mounted within the last five years, and have come to number in the thousands just as Pradaxa lawsuits did some time ago. Today, federally-filed Xarelto complaints were transferred and consolidated to a single court, forming multidistrict litigation number 2592 in Eastern Louisiana. These cases reportedly number over 2,800 at this time, and are joined by another group of more than 620 cases which were consolidated to form a mass tort program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by the Court of Common Pleas. Those closely involved in each grouping expect that these numbers will continue to grow as time moves forward.

Xarelto lawsuits consolidated in MDL 2592 are being overseen by the Honorable Judge Eldon Fallon, and have been filed against defendants Bayer AG and Janssen Pharmaceuticals, (a subdivision of Johnson & Johnson) who manufacture the new-generation blood-thinning drug.

Judge Fallon has requested that involved parties prepare for a series of 4 bellwether trials to be heard by juries in early 2017 regarding the cases at hand. These bellwether trials are designed to give those involved an idea of how juries might respond to certain pieces of evidence and testimony. The plaintiffs who have filed lawsuits in the Xarelto MDL all similarly allege that the anticoagulant drug can cause sudden and dangerous bleeding events. In some cases, as reported by several plaintiffs filing suit on behalf of loved ones, these bleeding episodes have been fatal.

Pradaxa is very similar to Xarelto in that it is a new-generation blood thinner. This blood thinner, however, was manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim in October of 2010. As is the current case with Xarelto, shortly after Pradaxa’s release to market, the drug was surrounded by more than 3,500 reports of severe adverse events among patients. Over 750 of these reports involved death. Pradaxa soon became the topic of more than 4,000 lawsuits. The evening before Pradaxa trials were set to begin, however, manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim settled the lawsuits by agreeing to pay $650 million in compensation to plaintiffs.

Today, Xarelto lawsuit plaintiffs say that this decision gives them additional hope as their cases more closer toward trial dates. They await potential settlement talks from Bayer and Janssen, but have not yet gotten any indications that this will take place. As those involved prepare for early 2017 bellwether trial dates, Attorney Joseph Osborne has been working to help other patients who feel that they have been negatively affected after using Xarelto. He wants to ensure that these patients will be given the opportunity to evaluate their legal rights in the matter, as they may be entitled to significant compensation. To better assist these individuals, Attorney Osborne is currently offering free Xarelto consultations.

To ask questions, or to request additional Xarelto lawsuit information, please contact Attorney Joseph Osborne by calling (866) 425-8902.

Risperdal Lawsuit Plaintiffs Are Awarded $8 Million After The Death Of A Family Member

April 28, 2016 – – LegalHerald.com reports on the results of a Risperdal-related lawsuit filed against manufacturer Janssen Pharmaceuticals (a division of Johnson & Johnson corporation). Risperdal is an atypical, antipsychotic drug which is designed to treat patients with a variety of disorders. The results of this lawsuit were recently announced, noting that a jury has awarded the family of a man who passed away during clinical trials conducted on the drug $8 million in compensation.

The victim in this lawsuit was only 25 years old and had suffered from schizophrenia for some time. As Risperdal has been FDA-approved to treat this condition, Janssen reportedly referred the young man to their clinical trial session. Before being approved for the trial, it was indicated that the young man was required to undergo a pre-screening. During this pre-screening, the man’s EKG test results were reported to have come back as abnormal, indicating a potential heart disease. Despite these concerning results, the man was later cleared and termed asymptomatic, and therefore allowed to participate in Risperdal clinical trials in February of 2009.

The young man’s family is understandably devastated by this approval, given the grievous outcome. In a Fox 11 News Interview, they noted, “He should have never been in that study to begin with, and when they got that lab work back, they should have said ‘You know what, we’ll go find another [test] subject.’”

According to details from court documents, after the young man was given injections of Risperdal, his condition progressively worsened. Physicians who were monitoring him noticed that he began to exhibit increasing liver enzyme levels. A subsequent EKG during this time drew attention to significantly worse heart problems. Just days after starting the clinical trial, the young man required admittance to an acute-care hospital and was being monitored there when he passed away the day after his admission.

An autopsy reportedly revealed his cause of death to be dilated cardiomyopathy, which is typically a treatable heart condition, but one that is allegedly complicated by use of Risperdal.

When interviewed during the trial, doctors indicated that the man would have had a 50% greater chance of survival if he was transferred to the acute-care hospital as soon as his elevated liver enzyme levels appeared. His family was given $8 million in compensation.

The attorneys of Banville Law understand how concerning the details of this lawsuit are for patients currently using Risperdal. Risperdal is a potent drug, and Banville Law attorneys are now working to help other patients who feel that it has negatively impacted their health. Affected patients could be entitled to substantial compensation, and are greatly encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to evaluate their legal rights in the matter. To help those interested in exploring this avenue, Banville Law is currently offering free legal consultations for affected individuals.

Rotatori Law Firm Procures Workers Compensation Case Resulting Into A $710,000.00 Award

April 28, 2016 – – The Rotatori Law Firm, based in Southbury, Connecticut, was actively involved in a workers compensation case which resulted into a $710,000.00 award, according to the law firm’s website, www.therotatorilawfirm.com.

The case’s claimant was a janitor living in Groton, who sustained a hand injury while using the men’s bathroom at the University of Connecticut in Avery Point. The custodial janitor’s hand was jammed when a student pushed the bathroom door open, which led to the claimant developing Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. The client also developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome to his right upper extremity. The injury allowed the janitor to qualify for Social Security Disability.

The Rotatori Law Firm had worked on the claimant’s case for several years before the Bridgeport Workers Compensation District awarded the client with a high-dollar amount by way of stipulation. The janitor was awarded by the Connecticut Workers Compensation Commission in excess of $710,000.00, a stipulation made possible by Peter Rotatori III and his team at The Rotatori Law Firm.

Rotatori believes that every worker has the right to proper compensation upon suffering personal injury. “Our office has seen this from time to time–a minor injury happening at first glance before blowing up into a serious medical condition,” Rotatori was quoted saying. “The claimant in our case was smart; he secured counsel. We filed the necessary notice timely and attended many hearings on his behalf to secure that he received the proper workers compensation indemnity and medical benefits.”

It took the law firm almost several years before the claimant received the stipulation, but it was well worth it. Many employees tend to overlook simple injuries that happen in the workplace, and the Rotatori Law Firm wants this fact to change. The law firm is dedicated to making sure that their clients are well-represented and well-informed about the necessary steps to take in an event of an employee sustaining personal injury. Rotatori asks employees to be aware and to take action. “Don’t let prejudicial public opinion or fear of your employer stop you from exercising your legal rights to protect your workers compensation benefits.”
