The Double-Grammy Nominee has Performed with Some of Music’s Greatest Icons, such as Beyoncé and Frank Sinatra, Throughout her Career
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 8, 2016 / Susan Aquila, a distinguished entertainer, violinist, and Grammy nominee, recently announced her decision to go on a rock and roll tour in 2016. The Susan Aquila Rock and Roll Tour, also known as the “Miss Conduct” National Tour, will support the release of her latest CD of the same name.
Although Aquila is best known for performing and recording with rock and pop legends like Beyonce, Kanye West, John Mayer, Busta Rhymes, and Barry Manilow, but she is now stepping into the spotlight on her own. “Miss Conduct,” which features music and lyrics by Rob Tomaro, is developing strong advance sales from her 50,000-member fan base. The CD’s first single charted at number seven on Reverbnation and went on to make the top 100 list on the Media Base Active Rock chart.
As a double Grammy nominee—for Best New Artist and Best Rock Album—Aquila was catapulted into the Top 5 of ReverbNation’s Artist Trending list, a position that she held onto for six months. Additionally, after winding down from sold-out performances on her popular 2015 tours, Aquila went on to collaborate with producer Tony Battaglia and make her Broadway debut in Amazing Grace. Andre Frances, the man who discovered Garth Brooks and guided his career, is currently managing her.
At this time, Aquila has taken her campaign to Kickstarter in order to raise the necessary funds to go on tour. The violinist is offering a wide variety of perks—such as magnets, CDs, tour posters, and violin lessons—in exchange for the support of the public.
“Susan is keeping rock alive and vibrant by bringing the best new music out on the road directly to the people,” stated an article on her Kickstarter page. “There’s no substitute for live rock ‘n roll pulsating off the stage, inspiring the audience to shout and cheer. Working together, we can break out the next big time rock n’ roll Superstar.”
