Carson City, United States – July 27, 2016 /PressCable/ —
Earlier today Memory Lane Care Home was announced as Amy’s Eden Senior Care’s fourth facility for senior housing in Carson City NV.
The announcement came as a surprise to the senior housing community since Amy’s Eden is a newer and smaller establishment in the area and one of the few assisted living facilities not owned by national corporations. Amy’s Eden’s private senior living group homes rarely have an opening since their reputation for a higher quality of care began receiving publicity online from family reviews and local awards. Owners Deena Andrade and Amy Smith won Nevada Appeal’s 2015 Best in Carson award for quality senior services. Their aim continues to be progressive in that they want to change the way Carson cares for the elderly. They strive to make a difference and feel duty-bound to do it.
Aaron Tjomsland, Head of Communications for the new Memory Lane Care Home, says: “Amy’s Eden wanted to try something new with the fundamental of how private senior housing services operate. Anyone familiar with the area’s senior assisted living facilities can probably notice the overemphasized business profit approach to caring for senior residents. Most places try to get by with unthinkably few caregivers than what they need for a dignified living instead of adequately meeting the needs of our seniors. The problem is when they have only one caregiver to every 15 residents then needs will go unmet… I’ve known other places that have left the elderly in soiled clothes because it wasn’t their day to bathe. This level of treatment is entirely unacceptable, and Amy’s Eden aims to change the way our industry treats their seniors.”
As a welcome breath of fresh air, the new Memory Lane Care Home instead provides caregiver services to elderly residents at a ratio of about one caregiver for every two seniors in privately themed homes… Memory Lane Care Home chose to focus less on profit and more on making a difference. Founders Deena and Amy, who previously left their roles as senior administration with the bigger players in the industry, had enough. They decided that assisted care for the elderly should never be driven to get gain but instead it should be about doing what is right for the elderly who deserve dignity, respect, and a proper quality of life.
Aaron Tjomsland also said “We want to give our residents a real sense of individual value. With our newly licensed home for private assisted senior housing, our lucky residents will hopefully feel unique and worthwhile. We honor our elderly and hope they feel how much we value them. Trying something new is always a risk, but it’s a risk we believe is worth taking.”
Memory Lane Care Home is a new DBA of Amy’s Eden Senior Care LLC, which has been in business for three years, was established in 2013. Since day 1 it has always aimed to make an impact on the way communities approach private senior housing and memory care.
Carson City’s newest private senior housing facility is set to open for touring their senior apartments starting August 2016. To find out more about the service and the Memory Lane Care Home, visit http://www.amyseden.com
