Halyard provides health and healthcare supplies and solutions worldwide. Prior to October 2014, Halyard was the Health Care operating segment of Kimberly-Clark, a manufacturer of personal care, consumer tissue, and professional products. The complaint alleges that the defendants made materially false and misleading statements about Halyard’s business, operations and compliance policies. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (i) Halyard’s MICROCOOL surgical gowns consistently failed effectiveness tests and failed to meet industry standards; (ii) Kimberly-Clark and Halyard knowingly provided defective MICROCOOL surgical gowns to U.S. workers during the Ebola crisis; and (iii) as a result of the foregoing, the defendants’ public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.

According to the complaint, on May 1, 2016, 60 Minutes reported that Kimberly-Clark and Halyard knowingly provided defective surgical gowns to U.S. workers at the height of the Ebola crisis. As reported, a Halyard insider claimed that although Halyard’s MICROCOOL surgical gowns were prone to leaks and did not consistently meet the industry safety standards for the treatment of Ebola, Kimberly-Clark and Halyard nonetheless “aggressively” marketed the MICROCOOL gowns to hospitals during the Ebola epidemic.

Following this news, shares of Halyard’s stock declined $1.21 per share, or 4.3%, to close on May 2, 2016 at $26.95 per share, on heavy trading volume.

Makena to Resume Drilling on Large Gravity Target on West Patterson Property

Makena Resources Inc. has scheduled the next phase of drilling at the West Patterson prospect in the Athabasca basin of Saskatchewan for early August. Makena anticipates the drill program to consist of at least three to five holes. A previous drill hole intersected a continuous section of anomalous radiometric response over the entire 113 metres of basement intersection. Shearing and brecciation occurs all along the 113 metres of granitic basement core, associated with clay alteration and alternating bleached and hematized sections down to the end-of-hole.

Lincoln, England, United Kingdom – July 17, 2016 – According to research recently conducted by Strutt & Parker, an increasing number of people wanting to move to villages is causing a revival in businesses catering to rural areas. The Strutt & Parker research revealed that 21-percent of survey respondents who were moving preferred to live in a village – easily making it the most popular type of location – compared to 14-percent for a market town and only 12-percent for either a large city or suburb. Irrespective of these figures, there appeared to be a demand for accessibility with regard to moving to a village, with 60-percent of respondents reporting wanting to be able to walk to shops, 48-percent wanting to be able to access local transport and 45-percent preferring to be close to medical facilities.

Due to the rise in people looking to move to these areas, businesses began catering to residents – thus, the rise of such services in the UK as supermarket shopping delivery. Not only have locales such as Lincolnshire seen a boom in big businesses recognizing the need to serve villagers, local businesses such as Flipping and Frying have grown like wildfire, as well.

Of course, the users will have to choose when they want to run their broadcasts and won’t be forced to notify people the start or ending times for the continuous broadcasts.
