Restaurants And Bars Seek To Find New Ways To Attract Millennial Customers

Millennials are transforming the restaurant and bar scenes as they want a unique environment when going out. The expectations Millennials have are paving the way on how bars and restaurants are designed.

Restaurants And Bars Seek To Find New Ways To Attract Millennial Customers

West Palm Beach, United States – June 27, 2017 /PressCable/

As Millennials are changing the world right now, bars and restaurants have to find new ways to change with them. Whenever this group of people dine out or go to a bar, they expect much more from dining since they like to connect with their friends on social media.

New and upcoming trendy bars and restaurants are working hard to feature comfortable places to dine at, since Millennials like these hot spots to take photos of their plates to share on Pinterest or Facebook. Studies show this age group tends to appreciate the ambience as well as the architectural atmosphere when dining or going out.

Blumer & Stanton’s M95 Maple Bar Rail Moulding is designed for new bars and restaurants, or for bars in need of a makeover. “The M95 Maple Bar Rail Moulding is durable to sustain heavy use, yet provides a very comfortable resting place for your arm when sitting at the bar,” a spokesperson for Blumer & Stanton said.

“One of our most popular items, M95 Bar Rail Molding is ideal for the bar top in restaurants and pubs, as well as DIY home bars and dens. Milled from Maple wood, it’s perfect or a stain or paint finish and recommended for indoor applications,” the spokesperson added.

Blumer & Stanton’s Chicago Style Bar Rails give function to a bar or restaurant, is durable enough to sustain heavy use, and gives the edge of a bar a nice finished look. The Chicago Style Bar Rail also provides an edge to keep glasses or dishes from being slid off the edge of the bar.

Restaurant and bar designs are changing to attract and keep Millennials in their buildings for a longer period of time. Millennials continue to enjoy staying in touch and connected on their phones and other devices when going to a restaurant or bar. The new generation of Millennial guests want to have fun, socialize, and express themselves while dining or going out in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Jay Eitner, Renowned School Superintendent, Brings Local Science into Space

Science teacher bring program to attention of Jay Eitner.

Mount Laurel, NJ – June 27, 2017 /MarketersMedia/

With seeds from the eggplant, a new experiment is heading into space aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The winning students designed the experiment titled “Galaxy Eggplants,” which is currently scheduled for launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on August 1, 2017. The experiment was chosen from over 50 proposals submitted as part of The National Center for Earth and Space Science Education’s Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP).

The program was brought to Jay Eitner’s attention from a science teacher who takes great pride in space exploration. “Once we saw that sending one of our projects to space was possible, we immediately got to work.” Eitner stated. “We immediately began to seek creative ways in order to fund the project. Everything from shoe collection to dessert fundraisers were established to help pay.” The project also had over $10,000 in grants secured in local, state, and federal grants and partnerships.

SSEP provides students with the most realistic scientific work experience. This competition mimics the process of scientists responding to a ‘call for proposals’ and provides two very unique educational opportunities. The students must first pose an interesting scientific question regarding the nature of the physical, chemical or biological system. Then, through collaboration, they must engineer an experiment that can answer that question within the stated experiment specifications and operational constraints. SSEP helps students develop the skills necessary to become leaders in the next generation workforce.

The project, “Galaxy Eggplants”, tests the results of microgravity on eggplant seeds while in space. Astronauts aboard the ISS will test the seeds in low Earth orbit. The students will also perform a control experiment on Earth in order to observe the differences between both experiments. Students feel the results of the test could be significant in furthering the understanding of plant growth in space, which could be a step toward sustaining human life in space. Students from Superintendent Jay Eitner’s former district will be presenting their experiments this summer at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C. “I couldn’t be more proud”, Jay Eitner stated. “Kids first, always. It’s why we are here.”

The SSEP is a program of the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education (NCESSE) in the U.S. and the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Space Education internationally. It is enabled through a strategic partnership with DreamUp PBC and NanoRacks LLC, which are working with NASA under a Space Act Agreement as part of the utilization of the International Space Station as a National Laboratory. SSEP is the first pre- college STEM education program that is both a U.S. national initiative and implemented as an on-orbit commercial space venture.

International Road Check Enforcement Focuses On Securing Cargo In Semi-Trucks

Dallas, Texas, 06/27/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

Every year, a nonprofit organization made up of local, state, and federal motor carrier safety officials from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), conducts roadside checks of semi-trucks and other commercial vehicles.

The CVSA’s roadside checks include participation by the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators, Transport Canada, and Mexico’s Secretariat of Communications and Transportation.

The CVSA’s roadside checks take on a specific focus each year. For 2017, the focus of the roadside checks is ensuring semi-trucks cargo is secure. According to the CVSA’s website, “While checking for compliance with safe cargo securement regulations is always part of roadside inspections, CVSA is highlighting cargo securement safety this year as a reminder of its importance to highway safety.”

The Rigorous Roadside Checks Involve 37-Step Inspections

The CVSA’s inspections will take place throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico from June 6 to June 8, 2017. During the inspections, safety officials will conduct the North American Standard Level I Inspection, which involves a 37-step process that includes checks of everything from truckers’ seat belt use to the effectiveness of the truck’s windshield wipers.

These international roadside checks make up the “largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world.” The CVSA states that it inspects 17 trucks or buses every minute during the 72-hour period of the inspections. Since the campaign began, the CVSA has inspected over 1.5 million commercial vehicles. One of the major challenges of these inspections, is that truckers will often times schedule personal time off so they can avoid having their semi inspected.

How Dangerous is Loose or Improperly Loaded Cargo?

Loose or improperly loaded cargo can cause serious and deadly truck wrecks. Unbalanced or shifting cargo is one of the top causes of truck crashes. It can take many forms, including:

Cargo that is stacked too high
Unbalanced cargo
Spilled cargo
Overloaded cargo or cargo that is too heavy

Semi-trucks transport over 70 percent of our nation’s freight. When carriers or truckers are tempted to overload a truck’s trailer, they can cause a deadly wreck. The CVSA’s international inspections are designed to identify improperly loaded or overloaded trailers before a serious or fatal wreck can occur.

Texas Truck Wreck Lawyer Discusses Loose Cargo on Trucks

Texas truck wreck lawyer Amy Witherite states: “Nearly all motorists have experienced the scary sight of a massive semi barreling down the highway with an open trailer stacked with lengths of steel, tree trunks, or other heavy cargo. Driving behind one of these huge vehicles can be terrifying. When a truck is traveling at 55 miles per hour or faster, shifting cargo can cause a devastating accident in mere seconds — and with no warning.”

If you’ve been injured in a semi-truck crash, or you have lost someone you love in a truck wreck, compassionate and experienced legal help is available today. Contact a Texas truck wreck lawyer right away to discuss your rights and options.

Florida’s Bicyclists Are In Danger Says Boca Bike Accident Lawyer Joe Osborne

Boca Raton, FL, USA, 06/27/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

Florida is notorious for frequent accidents involving vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. Whether it’s due to poor road design, inattention, distraction or just plain bad driving the state’s bicyclists seem to be second class citizens when it comes to safety. Boca bike accident lawyer Joe Osborne says these accidents are preventable and negligent drivers need to be held accountable.

A recent victim is a ten year old Pensacola girl who was struck and killed by a car while riding her bike, reports the Pensacola News Journal. The girl was using a bike lane last month when the driver of a Ford allegedly failed to see her, didn’t provide her the right-of-way and struck her, causing fatal injuries. She was airlifted from the scene to a hospital, where she died. According to the newspaper criminal charges are pending against the driver, a 47 year old Pensacola resident.

While the girl’s family grieves her loss, the carnage continues on Florida’s roads. A 2015 report issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that Florida has the country’s worst rate of bicycling deaths (0.57 per 100,000 people) more than twice the nationwide rate (0.23 per 100,000).

The CDC also found that while many other states have sharply reduced bicyclists’ deaths over the last 30 years, Florida has barely made a dent, cutting the number by less than 10%. Only Wyoming is doing a worse job.

Nationwide bicyclist safety is getting better. The number of deaths per 100,000 people decreased 44% during the two time periods measured, from 1975 to 1979 and 2008 to 2012. The sharpest decrease was for children younger than 15. Despite this good news bicyclists die on U.S. roads at a rate double that of vehicle occupants, even though bicycle travel is only about 1% percent of all trips for all types of transportation.

The Florida Department of Transportation and the University of South Florida’s Center for Urban Transportation Research put out a plan to address cyclist safety in 2013. It stated solving the problem boiled down to engineering, education and enforcement.

Roads are not engineered and speed limits were not created to accommodate cyclists and their safe travel. The report suggested widening bike lanes from four to seven feet. In the long term the plan suggests roadways be engineered to match their location where the busier the area, the more narrow the vehicle lanes and the slower the speed. With lower speeds, the easier it is for drivers to make the right decisions in busier areas with more cyclists.

Education and enforcement may address many Floridians’ attitude that they don’t need to share the road with bicyclists. Under state law bicyclists have a right to use roads as much as those driving vehicles.

Plans for a safer future are great but right now bicyclists face a dangerous present. If you or a loved one suffered an injury caused in a bicycling accident involving a driver or dangerous road conditions, contact Boca bike accident lawyer Joe Osborne at (561) 800-4011 or fill out this online contact form. You can discuss your case, how the law may apply and your best legal options to protect your rights and obtain compensation for your injuries.

Hemet Security Guard Injured On The Job Receives $290,000 Settlement With The Help of Attorney Kevin Cortright

June 28, 2017 – – Hemet, CA: A third-party workers compensation case was settled for a security guard injured on the job while working in Hemet. Both the employee’s Workers Compensation carrier and the facilities insurance carrier contributed to the combined settlement of $290,000.

The employee was injured while patrolling the premises at night when he tripped over chair matts that had been put on an exterior ramp while the facility was being cleaned at a previous time. The injured employee suffered orthopedic injuries to his body that inhibited his ability to properly work.

Attorney Kevin Cortright represented the worker in his case to its settled conclusion. He stated, “When investigating work injuries, it is important to identify if any third-party liability also exists. If anyone other than your employer is at fault for the injury, then there could be two claims to make – one against the employer for Workers’ Compensation, and another against the at fault party.” In this case, the at fault party was whomever left the chair matts out at the time of cleaning in an unsafe place.

It is important to find an attorney like Mr. Cortright who handles both Worker’s Compensation and Personal Injury claims, as there is usually significant overlap of Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury situations in at work accidents. Only an attorney that does both can insure the highest possible return for the pain that your injuries have caused. Mr. Cortright has successfully settled and won many types of Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury cases. He understands like no other that these injuries hurt not just the body but in fact affect every part of someone’s life. Having represented clients for more than ten years, he is incredibly passionate about serving his clients.

Software Addresses Dismal Flight School Failure Rate

June 27, 2017 – – Austin, TX: Airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and many other industry insiders are concerned with the quality of flight training options, especially in light of pilot shortages. An upgrade to a popular app may provide a solution to some of the biggest problems that plague the industry, one company says.

Industry insiders have reason to be concerned about the quality of training. Jamie Beckett of General Aviation News reports that 80% of student pilots drop out of training before receiving their pilot certificate. Swayne Martin of Bold Method, cites “lack of structured training” as the primary reason for the dismal dropout rate.

“At my first flight school, I found myself wondering what the next lesson would entail,” said Martin, “Even occasionally showing up having to tell my instructor what exactly I wanted to accomplish that day,” he says in “11 Reasons Why 80% of Student Pilots Drop Out of Training.”

Disorganization leads to inefficiency. Most students need far more than the 40 hours of flight time required by the FAA to develop the competence and skills to pass the checkride required for a Private Pilot rating. Aircraft rental ranges from $110 to $395 per hour plus instruction, so delays can add considerably to the cost of flight training.

“People are willing to invest in an education that leads to a great career, but are reluctant to invest an unknown amount into an unstructured process with an uncertain outcome,” said MrAviation101, Josh Flowers.

Traditionally, instructors used to rely on a complex combination of logbooks, textbooks, spreadsheets and other tools to track the progress of each student. This cumbersome process makes it difficult for both instructors and students to gauge progress and plan next steps.

“Students get derailed or frustrated when the training experience is disjointed.,” said Flowers. “Gaps or overlaps in their learning experience can add a lot of time to the process. Students may need to review old skills before they learn new ones. And many aren’t clear about what they should practice, study or review to prepare for their next lesson.”

Software developer and creator of Pilot Partner, Ken VeArd decided to take on the problem. He asked, “How can we make the flight training process more efficient and satisfying, using technology?”

His solution was a digital dashboard with shared data that can be accessed by desktop computer or mobile device.

Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) log into the CFI Dashboard to see the status of each of their students. A link between the student’s and CFI’s digital logbook enables the CFI to enter flights into both logbooks, saving time and reducing errors from manual entry. The CFI can review flight history after the student has left for the day. The instructor can sign records electronically, and provide detailed notes about each flight or lesson. The instructor also has a visual list of which skills have been “introduced,” “progressing,” or “ready for check ride,” the CFI can focus on items that need improvement and avoid repeating unnecessary activities. The list of skills are based on a Airman Certification Standard (ACS) Private Pilot or Instrument Pilot syllabus.

Like Google Maps or other popular software, the CFI Dashboard makes it easier to see “where you are” and “where you’re going” on the flight training journey.

Students can log into the Aviation Training Dashboard (a student-side view of the CFI Dashboard) for a graphical depiction of the standard flight training requirements. They can also see an outline of their accomplishments and progress, next steps, and a clear map of what it takes to get to the next objective. Used properly, a Student Pilot could earn a Private Pilot or Instrument rating in few Flights, saving money.

“The students I mentor are often surprisingly unclear about which skills they need to work on. By simplifying and clarifying the process, students can focus their energy in the right place. With better visibility comes better control. When students know what’s coming next, they can focus their study time on learning the next skill.”

As an example, If a student knows he needs to improve radio communications skills, he can review textbooks, or practice with a partner before his next flight, making the best use of expensive flight time.

“This really helps the student to show up prepared, confident and ready to progress to the next step,” said Flowers.

The CFI Dashboard is free tool for any instructors to use. A Pilot Partner Logbook Subscription ($29.95/year) is helpful to keep the instructor’s logbook in order, but not required. Instructors can earn free subscriptions by referring two qualified students per year.

About Pilot Partner

The original Pilot Partner electronic logging software was developed in 1997, when founder and CEO Ken VeArd was still in flight school. After writing all his flights into his logbook, he thought, “there has to be a better way.” Now, almost 20 years later, there are still no electronic logbooks that fully satisfy his needs. The new PilotPartner.net has been redesigned to support the needs of today’s general aviation pilot.

Additionally, Pilot Partner has released the new CFI Dashboard. The dashboard facilitates CFIs to electronically sign students’ logbooks, post endorsements, and write detailed notes. The dashboard provides pilots and their students the means to track progress, even when they in different locations.

Plane Spotting at the Doña Ana County International Jetport

June 27, 2017 – – El Paso, TX: Area planespotters have enjoyed an interesting lineup of aircraft visiting the Doña Ana County International Jetport, including military, civilian and commercial aircraft.

“It’s been a really interesting spring with a lot of really interesting and unusual aircraft visiting the airport,” said Nicholas E. Gogolew, Jr., the Regional Operations Manager of Francis Aviation, which runs an FBO at the Jetport.

This Sikorsky 61 is a civilian version of the SH 3A “Sea King” helicopter developed for the U.S. Navy in 1961 to detect and attack submarines, and to carry freight and passengers to vessels at sea. The civilian version is often used for freight, passengers and construction tasks.

One helicopter stopped by Francis Aviation at the local airport for fuel on its way to a commercial project in Dallas. The huge helicopter was used to lift air conditioners to the top of a building.

A B-25 Mitchell bomber is an twin engine bomber named for Major General William “Billy” Mitchell, a pioneer of US military aviation. The majority of these aircraft fought in the war against Japan and the Pacific as a ground attack aircraft during the World War II.

It was appreciated by soldiers because it was an exceptionally sturdy aircraft. One famous B25 was nicknamed “Patches” because its crew chief painted all the aircraft flak hole patches with bright yellow zinc chromate primer. By the end of the war, the aircraft had been on 300 missions, belly-landed six times and had 400 patched holes.

The airframe of “Patches” was so distorted from battle damage that straight-and-level flight required 8° of left aileron trim and 6° of right rudder, causing the aircraft to “crab” sideways across the sky. Battered and bent as it was, it still managed to reliably stay in the air.

This Ford TriMotor, also called the “Tin Goose,” is an American three-engined transport aircraft. A total of 199 Ford Trimotors were made between 1925 and 1933.

Ford Trimotors were used extensively by Pan American Airways for its first international scheduled flights from Key West to Havana, Cuba, in 1927. Even after they were replaced by larger aircraft for commercial airline travel, these aircraft were used for freight transport and other purposes. A Ford ad proclaimed that “no Ford plane has yet worn out in service.”

The War Eagles Museum offered rides in the TriMotor in their “Fly on the Ford” event in February.

Five T-38 Cs visited the Doña Ana County Jetport before a flyover by the United States Air Force 88th Fighter Training Squadron of Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas after the National Anthem at the Texas Rangers season opener on April 3.

Doña County International Jetport continues to be a hub for interesting activity for aviation and history aficionados.

“We’ve been really lucky the last few months to see some really great airplanes. And as additional services are added at the airport, the industrial park, and the nearby community, this just keeps getting better,” said Gogolew.
