The team at Uniquecapture Studio had the great honour of shooting food and lifestyle photography for celebrity chef Ken Hom to promote his new wok range.

When Chris King, Creative Director of Uniquecapture Studio was asked to photograph celebrity chef Ken Hom and his new packaging, he was only too happy to oblige.

The brief was to create some natural shots of Ken Hom using his new woks and to also produce some food photography to go on the packaging. The shoot took place in a beautiful location in Surrey. The kitchen set was modern yet rustic and homely. Everything had been thought of down to the last detail, from the props on the shelf strategically placed behind Ken, to every ingredient needed to cook, garnish and style his recipes.

Uniquecapture’s in-house food stylist and photographer, Bhavisha Surti was lucky enough to cook Ken’s recipes, which would later be photographed and styled to go on the back of pack. Bhavisha has years of experience in food styling and photography and was estatic to learn that she would be working with Ken Hom. She said “Ken Hom is a legend in the culinary world, I am really looking forward to working with him and tasting his food!”

Ken Hom has been known to be great to shoot with. He was fun, relaxed and great in front of the camera. A natural TV presenter, Ken just said what came to mind and made the entire team’s job easier. There was some fantastic images and video clips that came out of this shoot, all to promote Ken’s new woks.

The new packaging for Ken’s woks are absolutely striking and will most definitely stand out from the rest on the shelf. Ken explained that a local artist from the far east had sketched him in these vibrant colours and gave Ken a blue face. Ken absolutely loved it and ended up incorporating it in his new packaging. As well as this location shoot with Ken, the team at Uniquecapture were asked to take some product packshots of the new packaging. These images will be used online where customers can purchase the products.

Getting these images right are imperative. Photographer and stylist Bhavisha said “Taking product shots are not as easy as people may think. There are lots of elements to consider, such as light, reflections, angles and more. If photographed correctly, you can make a product stand out from the crowd”. Asher College has moved their campus to a new location in Dallas, Texas. Asher College, a career-training technical school, has three locations: Dallas; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Sacramento, California.

Asher College opened the first Dallas, TX branch campus location in 2012. Now, in 2019, Asher is announcing the move to a new, larger space for their Dallas campus. This expanded location is expected to better serve their students. Formerly in Addison, the new Asher campus is located in the Lake Highlands Tower (formerly known as the Abrams Center) on LBJ freeway at Abrams Road. The Lake Highlands Tower is a modern building with on-site amenities including a ground-floor deli and 24-7 security.
