Dr. Jen Welter is a former American Football player that won gold for the US at two World Championships. Throughout her career as a player and coach, she continuously broke through gender barriers. In 2015, she was named the defensive coaching intern for the Arizona Cardinals during their training camp. This made her the first female coach in the NFL – a short while after she’d already made history as the first female coach in a men’s professional football league when she was named special teams coach of the Texas Revolution. Before this, she already claimed a ‘first’ as the first female running back to play for a male football team.

Colorado Realtor Reveals what Went Well in 2020 and what to Expect in 2021

Veteran realtor Delphine Jadot, aka Distinctive Delphine, shares her wisdom on the real estate market. She describes that 2020 was determined by countless people who stayed home. Social distancing preventive measures have made US citizens admire and realize the value of their home in their lives. With this kind of realization, many homeowners have developed a fresh perspective on homes and the housing market, in general. Distinctive Delphine then reveals that the September 2020 statistics have shown a higher house sales growth up to 9.4% compared to the previous month while prices were up15% across the country. She adds that in Montrose, Colorado alone, there were 103 homes sold in September of 2020 at a median price of $300,000. The houses stayed on the market for 98 days on average.

On the other hand, mortgage rates have set a new record low. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage noticeably averaged 2.7% for the week ending November 19. While at the same time in 2019, this type of loans had a 3.7% average rate. This scenario only means that buying a new house is more affordable than before since low mortgage rates provide a lower monthly payment.

Heading towards the new year, prospects are becoming exciting. Vaccines would enhance optimism and a better economy, leading to a more stable housing market. Few of the transposition real estate agents are currently seeing will remain such as remote working, families wanting bigger and more adaptable homes. Large indoor and outdoor spaces, gardens, working spaces within the home have been seen to be in great demand.
