Sundays For Dogs Secures $10 Million Series A Fund By Imaginary Ventures and Co

United States – March 31, 2022

Leading pet brand, Sundays For Dogs, has been granted a $10 million Series A fund deal for the expansion of its operations in the US.

Sunday For Dogs Inc. has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A funding led by Imaginary Ventures, alongside Orlando Bloom, Ryan Reynolds, and the founders of Away, Sweetgreen, and Glossier. This deal comes on the heels of the company’s seed round which was spearheaded by Red Sea Ventures and Box Group, bringing the total amount raised to over $14 Million.

Reacting to the news, the company’s founders, Tory and Michael, says, “We’re excited to partner with Imaginary to build the world’s most trusted brand for dog parents. We were really impressed by the Imaginary team and their experience with other iconic young brands like SKIM’s, Daily Harvest, and Glossier. Our goal is to feed 1 million dogs and help 10 million more by 2025.”

On the part of Imaginary Ventures, this funding agrees with the vision of the venture capital to only invest in iconic brands and the technologies that empower them. In the words of Logan Langberg, partner at Imaginary Ventures, “Over the past two years, the pandemic has expedited the purchasing of pets and premiumization of pet food across the country. The US pet food market has skyrocketed past $40billion, growing nearly 10% in 2020. Accompanying this escalated demand is a heightened consciousness around the taste and quality of pet food, without sacrificing on affordable price. Sundays is bridging the gap between value-priced kibble and super premium refrigerated fresh, taking market share from both. We believe Sundays has created a winning proposition by offering modern dog parents everything they’re looking for, including quality and taste, convenience and affordability, and we are thrilled to be part of the Sundays’ story.”

The dog food company has already outlined its plans for the fund. First, it’s introducing new recipes into its lineup, beginning with a chicken recipe. In addition to hiring more hands, the company will invest in expanding their current technology platform, which already includes their dog food comparison tool and a limited edition custom packaging.

Sundays For Dogs was started to provide human-grade ready-to-eat dog food. It came about after Dr. Tory Waxman, VMD, and her husband Michael, a Y Combinator-funded software engineer, couldn’t find a convenient, healthy dog food for Mabel, their rescue dog. Currently, Sundays For Dogs has acquired the enviable reputation of being the best dog food, even healthier than kibble. The fact that it doesn’t require prep, cleanup, or needs to be stored in a fridge or freezer also makes it a much better alternative to raw foods. In addition, Sundays preserves the nutrients and flavor of its products by using 100% all-natural and human-grade ingredients, which are dried gently at a USDA-monitored kitchen. And at a starting price of just $2 a day, Sundays is readily available for anyone interested in the well-being of their dogs.

Sahd Metal Recycling to Host 16th Annual Earth Day Event

Columbia, PA – March 31, 2022

For 15 years, the local community has been gathering at the Sahd Metal Recycling center to celebrate Earth Day. This year Sahd is expanding the event to include more vendors, presenters, contests, and a free grab-and-go meal from a local barbecue chef.

“People think that being eco-friendly means being less productive and shutting things down,” said Dan Sahd, owner of Sahd Metal Recycling. “This Earth Day we want to show how companies are promoting sustainability and achieving higher levels of productivity at the same time.”

Activities and Events for All Ages

Sahd will be promoting Earth Day by allowing families to tour the scrap metal yard at 5:00 and 6:00 pm, with the opportunity to watch all the big cranes and shears in action, moving, cutting, and scrapping metal. In addition to covering all aspects of reducing, reusing, and recycling metal, vendors will cover other conservation efforts with topics including other material recycling, native plants, wildlife conservation, alternative energy, composting, and many other themes.

Starting at 4:30 pm on April 22nd, this year’s event will feature:

  • Expert presentations
  • Vendor tables
  • Yard tours
  • A chance to see the cranes, shears, and torches in action
  • Contests and prizes including a huge YETI cooler
  • A free Rocky’s BBQ grab and go dinner for those registered on Eventbrite
  • And tons of free family fun!

Visitors will have to see how we can build a stronger, healthier community by remaking the old into the new without digging into the ground for more metal.

The celebration is not limited to the in-person events; check the Sahd website for the Online Earth Day Challenge to earn a free Hinkle’s Sundae and a chance to win the big YETI cooler. In addition to the prices and contests, Sahd will be offering special aluminum can recycling prices all week.
