For some workers, it is possible that their overall movement throughout the day is reduced when at home.

A Bupa survey suggests that 1 in 5 workers are less active when based at home. When employees don’t need to commute, they may miss out on those extra steps or a bike ride they may have otherwise done when moving to and from the office. For many, the working day now involves sitting at a desk, a kitchen table or even on the sofa for nine hours a day.
