Hudson, FL Author Publishes Spiritual Peace Book

Passion for Peace/My Dash, a new book by Pat Schell, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Because author Pat Schell understood that we create our own life situations through our very thoughts, she began to probe and search for tools that would allow her to get very clear on this life process.

Therein lies the story behind the book itself: how we implement spiritual tools into our daily lives. She knew that opposites MUST exist in order to move forward and make a life passionate and fulfilled. For how else can we distinguish between what is “GOOD” from what is “BAD”? More importantly, Pat asked the question: “What is MY PURPOSE in this lifetime?” She came to find out that everyone has the opportunity to choose. We choose our friends, choose our profession, choose our place on this planet that we feel comfortable residing, and, yes, we even choose those we love and those that we don’t! And, for EACH AND EVERY choice, we are held ACCOUNTABLE!

Pat has been a truth seeker for many years. She considers her life as one that remains open and receptive to many new ideas: whether her own or those that are given to her by many friends and acquaintances. She is driven by motivation and inspiration. Many very important events in her life have brought her to a place of compassion and empathy.

Early on, Pat wondered why we focus so much of our attention on our outer circumstances, leaving little or no time to go within. Understanding that we are born into a fearful environment, unless we are willing to face the unknown, it is most likely that THIS will be our way of life!

About the Author
Pat Schell is filled with enthusiasm for life and expresses it in many ways. Pat has spent the majority of her retirement volunteering in many local community outreach programs, along with her husband of 55 years, Richard. Pat owes her spiritual journey to Unity of Port Richey, Florida, and is deeply involved in all programs that they offer to volunteers. She is quite a special lady and perhaps, some day you will have opportunity to meet her!

Salary.com Enhances CompConnections Community with New Events, Expanded Education, and Free Custom Peer Group Data

4,600-Member Compensation Networking and Professional Development Community Connects People and Inspires Potential Across 16 Global Markets

Dallas, TX (May 21, 2018) – Salary.com, the leading SaaS provider of cloud-based compensation data and analytics, today, from The WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference in Dallas, announced the accelerated expansion of its CompConnections Community (C3), with the addition of 12 new local events across the U.S. in the remainder of 2018 and four new course curricula within its international CompX Education series. On top of this, with Salary.com’s two-year-old CompConnections Xchange program, members can continue to participate in existing Salary.com peer surveys or design their own geographic or “hot jobs” surveys, workforce metrics, and projections, free of charge. The fast growth of all three programs underscores the power and value of shared interests, experiences, and objectives in driving engagement and education for personal and organizational development.

“We launched our CompConnections Community two and a half years ago to connect comp professionals so that they could share professional advice, expertise, and information in fun and relaxed settings, where it would be easy to build relationships and get to know their peers,” said Kent Plunkett, President and CEO of Salary.com. “With decades of experience in the compensation market, we were able to build our membership very quickly. And, the growth we have experienced has far exceeded our initial aspirations. Today, we host, support, and manage a vibrant and engaged community of compensation professionals that is 4,600 people strong. This dynamic group, comprised of new and experienced HR people across 16 global markets, participates in each other’s professional development, enjoys a common commitment to lifelong learning, and is willing to share what they know with others. Some of this happens within the structures, resources, and avenues we enable through the CompConnections Community, and the rest is just organic, collaborative, and social. We are really impressed by the power of community and have been delighted to be at the forefront with C3.”

CompConnections Xchange
All members of the CompConnections Community are granted free access to CompConnections Xchange, a data and proactive sharing environment that has been available to Salary.com customers for two years. With this Department of Justice (DOJ)-compliant service, members can participate in existing Salary.com peer surveys or design their own vertical and geographic surveys, custom “hot jobs” surveys, and workforce metrics and projections. Salary.com support ensures that members meet regulatory data exchanging requirements and that jobs are properly matched for the most accurate results.

In the coming months, Salary.com is also dramatically expanding its CompConnections Community offerings by broadening its reach from 16 to 30 international countries and increasing networking, collaboration and learning opportunities with enhanced initiatives within its events and education programs:

CompConnections Events – an events program is designed to promote networking, professional development, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. The program includes local socials, customer panels and trend events in major cities, and topic-based seminars hosted by comp leaders at businesses around the country. More than 2,000 individuals have attended CompConnections events in the last six months.

CompConnections CompX – a compensation education series delivered by masters and Ph.D. HR professors and comp experts is designed to help HR professionals gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their organizations. There are currently more than eight flexible CompX seminars that can be attended live or on-demand, and they are accredited by SHRM and HRCI. In addition, the CompX library offers members a broad range of downloadable compensation and industry content, guides, and resources.

“I’ve really enjoyed my experience with CompConnections. It’s so common to encounter certain pain points, because the industry is changing so rapidly, and it is nice to see a big group of people talking about these kinds of issues and finding solutions,” said Amy Martin, Director of Total Rewards at Centra Health.

Membership in Salary.com’s CompConnections is free and open to all Human Resources and CompConnections professionals. More than 3,000 of Salary.com’s customers are in the CompConnections Community with just over 1,500 coming from the broader compensation professional landscape. Participation in the community is anonymous unless members opt into public groups and forums, and all program access is available to every member. Engagement levels are not required and are at the sole discretion and desire of each individual member.

“We are focused on access and sharing without pressure or influence. We want our customers, and those across our extended compensation community to be in the driver’s seat, deciding individually what their personal and professional engagement thresholds, interests and needs really are,” said Alys Scott, Chief Marketing Officer, Salary.com. “I have had the pleasure of so much direct interaction with our C3 family in many cities across the US and am continually impressed by the balance of thought leadership and learning with social networking and fun. It is always a pleasure to collaborate with a diverse range people who share experiences and new ideas. CompConnections is designed to put the power of potential in the hands of each individual person in our community, and that has been the recipe for success from our side.”

Salary.com Unveils Enhanced Executive Pay Pricing and Reporting Capabilities

New 360° Reports Offer Opportunities to Compare Executive Pay to Peers and Internal Employee Pay Levels to Meet SEC CEO Pay Ratio Disclosure Requirements

DALLAS, TX (May 21, 2018) – Salary.com, the leading SaaS provider of cloud-based compensation data and analytics, today announced, from The WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference in Dallas, that it has expanded its CompAnalyst Market Data library to include new executive positions and released new features to help CompAnalyst users fulfill the SEC’s upcoming CEO pay ratio disclosure requirements. CompAnalyst users will now be able to quickly calculate CEO pay ratios, compare executive pay packages and pay ratios against publicly-reported peer data, and create CEO pay-for-performance analyses via integrated analytics embedded directly in pricing workflows.

Expanded Executive Job Titles in CompAnalyst Market Data
CompA tonalyst Market Data users will now have access publicly reported salaries for more than 50,000 named executives across public companies in the United States. Using new executive pricing workflows, CompAnalyst users will be able to select peer groups of executives to use in pricing and competitive plan comparisons.

New Embedded Analytics in Pricing Workflows
Along with executive pay data, CompAnalyst Market Data users will now have access to in-workflow analytics, which delivers new insights into executive pay comparisons across peer companies, CEO pay-for-performance analyses, and enhanced CEO pay ratio comparisons across public companies in the US.

“Helping our customers meet the urgent regulatory demands they face today, we have expanded our CompAnalyst Market Data product to include executive data, and we have developed new embedded analytics to deliver insights directly into the pricing workflows our customers use most,” said Kent Plunkett, President and CEO of Salary.com. “With increasing scrutiny around both executive and fair pay practices, Salary.com is proud to provide our customers with a single, comprehensive solution for all of their pricing needs across all levels of the business with the integrated analytics that help them identify and address issues and inconsistencies before they become a problem.”

Enhanced CEO Pay Ratio Reporting Capabilities
This year, new regulation via the Dodd-Frank Act, enforced by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), requires all publicly-traded companies to disclose a ratio that compares the pay of their chief executive to that of the company’s median-paid employee. To help customers calculate this CEO pay ratio in their organization ahead of SEC filing deadlines, Salary.com has developed an interactive CEO pay ratio report, which will allow CompAnalyst users to quickly calculate the CEO pay ratio in their organization using pre-loaded employee compensation data in the system.

“With the release of this new CEO pay ratio report, we are delivering a timely response to SEC requirements to our publicly-traded customers,” continued Plunkett. “We hope that this easy-to-use interactive report will make fulfilling CEO pay ratio disclosure requirements quick and simple by pre-calculating median employee pay for CompAnalyst customers who have loaded their employee data into our solution.”

Salary.com Unveils Long- and Short-Term Incentive Compensation Intelligence

First to Deliver Valuable New Data, Functionality and Actionable Insights, Transforming the Way Businesses Assess and Manage LTI and STI Compensation to Drive Growth

Dallas, TX (May 21, 2018) – Salary.com, the leading SaaS provider of cloud-based compensation data and analytics, today announced, from The WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference in Dallas, its first-to-market ability to provide CompAnalyst users with new insights into long-term incentives (LTIs) and short-term incentives (STIs). This new feature will help compensation professionals build highly targeted competitive compensation packages that, in turn, attract, engage, and retain employees. With embedded analytics, business leaders are also able to design incentive programs that align groups and individuals within the organization to business goals and drive growth.

In today’s competitive talent environment, compensation professionals are increasingly challenged to drive profitability, attract and retain top talent, and find new ways to incentivize behaviors that drive long-term business success. CompAnalyst’s new long- and short-term incentive insights, garnered from both company and industry and geography peer group data, enable users to make smart compensation decisions that best leverage powerful incentive pay options to not only attract and retain the right talent, but also promote and reward positive business outcomes.

“In today’s market, getting base pay right is no longer enough. Our customers need accurate data across many types of compensation, including both long- and short-term incentives. With the launch of our new LTI and STI insights, we are fulfilling our promise of critical visibility across all pay elements to customers,” said Kent Plunkett, CEO and President of Salary.com. “For more than two decades, Salary.com has been the most widely recognized and trusted source for employer-reported compensation data to facilitate decision-making around employee compensation. No other compensation technology in the market has this visibility into LTIs and STIs, and we hope this new feature will help make CompAnalyst users’ lives easier by cutting down on time spent sifting through disparate survey data points, giving them more time to drive and grow their businesses.”

Long- and Short-Term Incentive Compensation Data in CompAnalyst
The new long- and short-term incentive data in Salary.com’s award-winning CompAnalyst platform provides organizations with critical insights into different jobs’ eligibility for incentive pay, target payout percentages, and even actual dollar amounts associated with LTI and STI payouts in peer organizations. With this new level of data specificity, organizations now have unprecedented access to incentive pay data for more than 15,000 job titles across and 225 industries.

With this new release, CompAnalyst customers will now have visibility into:

– Long-Term Incentive Eligibility – CompAnalyst’s new long-term incentive eligibility metric provides new insights into what percentage of your peers offer long-term incentives to each job title in our database. Visibility into this metric can help compensation professionals focused on recruiting and retaining top talent build highly competitive compensation packages that appropriately incentivize and reward employees who focus on long-term business success during their tenure with the organization.

– Scoped Long-Term Incentive Payouts – CompAnalyst’s unique ability to provide scoped long-term incentive payout information that is specific to customers’ pay markets, industries, and company size delivers unparalleled accuracy and cost forecasting capabilities for long-term incentive planning.

– Short-Term Incentive Targets – As more organizations look to leverage cash bonuses to incentivize employee performance, these bonus target percentages deliver critical insights into what percentage of an employee’s total cash compensation package should be short-term variable or incentive pay based on survey data.

– Scoped Short-Term Bonus Payouts – In addition to short-term incentive targets, displayed as a percentage of each job’s base salary, CompAnalyst’s scoped short-term incentive payouts represent actual dollar values associated with the bonuses typically paid to each job in our database. As with scoped long-term payout information, this short-term payout data is specific to each customers’ pay market, industry, and company size to deliver enhanced competitive intelligence into the pricing process.
