Studio City, CA Author Publishes College Football Book

College Football Fanatics, a new book by Ernie Charles, has been released by CreateSpace.

In this book, author Ernie Charles talks about the passion, the traditions, the people that make college football what it is – one of the greatest sports in the country.

Whatever is going on around us, whether it is a crashing economy, the threat of terrorism, a worry about the future, the national debt, it is all going to be alright as long as we still have college football to look forward to. If something or someone ever interferes with that, then you will see the people become fighting mad.

This book celebrates the diehards, the people that paint their faces, wear their team colors year round, and tailgate for hours before the game.

This is a book for the fans…by a fan!

Lenny Helsing’s exclusive interview “The Travis Edward Pike Story,” is now posted online at It’s Psychedelic Baby.

When asked about his reaction to the article, Travis replied, “Articles like this are game-changers. They not only introduce me to an ever-broadening audience, but suggest why that audience might be interested in reading, watching, and listening to more.”

The first serious game-changer article was on Perlich Post, where Pike’s “Watch Out Woman,” Youtube clip from the 1966 movie “Feelin’ Good,” was proclaimed the best rock video of 2016 actually shot in 1966, a half-century earlier.

The second game-changer followed quickly. Ugly Things published a favorable review of that clip, favorable reviews of some of Pike’s more recent works, and a six page Harvey Kubernik – Travis Pike interview in its 2016-2017 Winter Edition.

Number three was quick on its heels, when State Records, U.K., requested the rights to produce a limited edition 45 rpm vinyl record of “Watch Out Woman” and “The Way That I Need You,” the two songs Pike performed in the movie, taken directly from the optical movie soundtrack.

And the news just keeps getting better. Last year’s December issue of Shindig magazine listed the State Records release of “Watch Out Woman” at number three of its Best of 2017 singles, and the February online issue of Goldmine magazine reviewed Pike’s CD albums, “Ouside the Box,” Travis Edward Pike’s Tea Party Snack Platter,” “Feelin’ Better,” and “Morningstone Music” (since re-released as “Mystical Encounter: Songs from Changeling’s Return”), and listed them all as Quick Picks in the Goldmine April print edition, due on newsstands March 6 – April 10.

Now, It’s Psychedelic Baby has posted Lenny Helsing’s 18 page “Travis Edward Pike Story,” an exclusive in-depth article celebrating Pike’s more than half-century in showbiz, with a focus, of course, on his music.

And there’s more to come in the weeks ahead!

Grand Blanc Doctor Appearing on Upcoming Sister Wives Episode

Grand Blanc, MI – Season 12 of the Sister Wives on TLC is in full swing, and will be featuring an upcoming episode on the diagnosis and treatment of scoliosis. Why is this important? In this upcoming episode, the Brown family comes to Michigan to chronicle the treatment of one of their daughters for this life-altering disorder. Who did they come to see: Dr. Mark Morningstar, DC, PhD of the ScoliSMART Clinics – Michigan. Dr. Morningstar’s practice is located in Grand Blanc, where he provides highly specialized testing and treatment for scoliosis. When asked about the reality television experience, Dr. Morningstar said, “It was a very eye-opening experience. You don’t realize what goes into making this type of television show until you’re on one. I hope this episode will help to shed some light on the many recent advancements made in the field of conservative, non-surgical scoliosis treatment.”

Scoliosis is a three-dimensional curvature of the spine, which can cause heart and lung problems if the curvature becomes severe. Scoliosis is historically treated by observation, bracing, and fusion surgery. However, recent advances in clinical laboratory testing and rehabilitation strategies have provided new insights into the underlying causes of scoliosis. These advancements allow for better non-surgical treatment options, as well as minimally invasive non-fusion surgical procedures. Scoliosis affects 3-5% of adolescents annually, and over 60% of adult females ages 60 and older.

ScoliSMART Clinics are specialized scoliosis treatment centers, fully dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of all aspects of the scoliosis condition. Their centers provide short-term rehabilitation therapy so that patients from all over world can come and learn how to properly care for, and improve, their scoliosis. ScoliSMART Clinics – Michigan has treated patients from 34 states, 3 Canadian provinces, and 12 countries. Dr. Morningstar has developed proprietary rehabilitation equipment and diagnostic laboratory testing relating to scoliosis, and is the most highly published chiropractic clinical researcher in the field of scoliosis treatment and diagnostics.
