Cocoa, FL Author Publishes Religious History Book

The Birth of the Protestant Churches, a new book by Grover C. Rowe, has been released by RoseDog Books.

This history on the birth of the Protestant Churches was written to enlighten the people concerning the Churches’ origin. Author Grover C. Rowe hopes this mission was accomplished.

About the Author
Grover C. Rowe, a young at heart author, was born into an impoverished family in the mid 1930s. His parents, Hicks and Willie Mae Rowe, lived in Cocoa, Florida, in a small wooden house with their nine children. They attended the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church on their street. There were two things that Grover’s parents emphasized: knowing God and being well-educated.

Rowe was baptized early in life. His zeal for knowledge led him to graduate from Monroe High in Cocoa, Florida, and then from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee. Grover was then drafted and served in the United States Army. After his discharge, he taught at Monroe High in Cocoa. That is until Uncle Sam shouted, “Recall,” and off he went again to serve his country. Following this tour of duty, Rowe worked in security at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida until his retirement twenty-nine years later.

God’s church has been such an integral part of Rowe’s life that he chose to study how to simplify its history and development for others searching to understand the church. It’s taken him years of reading, fact-checking, investigating and then time composing his book. Hopefully, this book will benefit you and you will enjoy reading it.

The Birth of the Protestant Churches is a 372-page paperback with a retail price of $23.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4809-7426-5. It was published by RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. VantagePoint Software Now Forecasts for Twitter, Inc. and Other Social Media Stocks

VantagePoint Software, using patented Artificial Intelligence technology to predict stock market trends up to 3 days in advance with up to 86% accuracy announced today that it now forecasts for Twitter, Snap and other social media stocks.

The release of the new forecasts in the AI based trading software, VantagePoint, stemmed from the rise in popularity and value of social media stocks. “We decided to investigate if we could forecast social media stocks at the same level of accuracy as other technology stocks which we were already forecasting for.” Said President Lane Mendelsohn.

VantagePoint’s R&D team used their patented artificial intelligence process to feed through the data from the different social media stocks and allowed the artificial intelligence to do its pattern recognition to see what patterns it could detect within that data and if those patterns were repeatable and could be used to glean data which would allow for VantagePoint to forecast the social media stocks accurately.

Mendelsohn said, “As a result, even though these social media companies are not necessarily the traditional brick-and-mortar type technology stocks, there are still repeatable patterns and so we were able to achieve the same level of accuracy we have in other technology stocks.

The VantagePoint team is continuously training and retraining new stocks to be released into the software, but they decided to escalate the addition of a variety of the most in-demand social media stocks which include SNAP, Twitter, Renren, Zynga, The Meet Group, Weibo, Match Group, ANGI Homeservices, Tencent Holdings, Momo, Yandex, Line, lac/Interactive, YY, and Glu Mobile.

Coincidently, it was announced this week that Twitter, Inc. will be joining the S&P Index, replacing Monsanto. Following the announcement on Monday, Twitter’s stock already jumped 5% and the company expects to be profitable for the rest of the year. Shares of Snap, Inc. have also seen an increase of about 17% just this week. With Twitter, Snap and other markets on the rise, it’s a great time for traders to start using VantagePoint Software to profit from social media stocks.

Farrell, PA Author Publishes Poetry

My Tears Are in Your Hands, a new book by Tia Mitchell, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

The beauty of poetry can be observed in the way that the poet can encapsulate his thoughts, anguish or feelings, or observations and ruminations on just about any subject and in just a few words.

In the case of My Tears Are in Your Hands by Tia Mitchell, the lines trick the mind to conjure images, not words, of persistent sighs upon reflection on some familiar despair coexistent with the human situation.

Neither sullen nor defeatist, My Tears Are in Your Hands is a quiet nudge to those fleeting moments of reflection when we come to bear the brunt of the vexing complexities of the world. More than anything, it is an acknowledgment of the mysterious, ever-persistent creative prowess in man, under any condition.

Tia Mitchell was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She is currently working and getting her GED. She now lives in Hermitage and enjoys writing, singing, and spending time with her family during her free time.

Donny Shimamoto Assesses Cybersecurity and Privacy Risks at ENGAGE 2018

Donny Shimamoto will be a featured presenter at AICPA ENGAGE 2018. The largest CPA conference of the year will take place June 9 through 14th at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Attendees have 7 curriculums to choose from with over 250 courses and up to 35 CPE credits.

Shimamoto’s session, Assessing Your Firm’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Risks, will take place on June 14th at 11:15am and will address the recent increase in security vulnerabilities affecting public accounting firms.

The in-depth but non-technical session will teach attendees how to assess their cybersecurity risk using techniques familiar to most auditors and accountants who have done internal control work. They will learn to identify data sets and systems that are at risk and the questions they need to ask the IT department, service providers, and business partners to better understand risks and exposure. Shimamoto will also address requirements of cyber-liability insurance and the implications of information security practices.

Shimamoto commented on the high-demand topic, “This new course was developed to address the increasingly high volume of attacks we are seeing on public accounting firms. Due to the sensitive data housed, firms are becoming acutely aware of their risks and need to understand how to protect themselves and respond when they are hacked. We will address those concerns in a non-techy fashion so that firm owners and managers can provide better oversight of their IT service providers. I will also be on the Ask the TECH+ Expert panel the afternoon of the 14th which is a great wrap up panel where attendees can get answers to a wide-array of technology questions that perhaps wasn’t addressed by the sessions they attended.”

Donny is a past chairman of the AICPA’s Information Management & Technology Assurance Executive Committee, and former member of its Governing Council and Assurance Services Executive Committee. He has worked on several international collaborations between the AICPA and CIMA related to business intelligence and is also a frequent speaker on how management accountants can help add-value to their organizations via CGMA webcasts.

Donny has been recognized as a Top Thought Leader in Public Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor from 2012 through 2018, and one of the Top 100 Most Influential People by Accounting Today in 2013, 2014, and 2017. He has received the President’s Award from the Hawaii State Society of CPAs, was named to CPA Technology Advisor’s 40 Under 40 list in 2014, recognized by Avalara as one of the Top Social Influencers of 2018 and was recently awarded an AICPA Standing Ovation Award in Information Management and Technology Assurance.

Falls Church, VA Author Publishes Book on Global Warning

The Coming Chaos: Fossil Fuel Depletion and Global Warming, a new book by Ken Casey, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

This book describes the coming chaos that will result in the year 2100 if the world fails to develop a workable nuclear breeder reactor. In 2100, the world will be depleted of all but the most expensive oil, gas and coal. The world will also be largely depleted of the uranium that is used in conventional nuclear reactors. The result will be a shutdown of the world electric grid and a shutdown of all vehicular traffic. In 2100, the world will have an estimated population of 11 billion people. By 2150, the population of the world will plummet to 3 billion people if something is not done soon.

In order to have a seamless transition into the 22nd century, the world must make a concerted effort today to develop nuclear breeder reactors to keep the world electric grid functioning in 2100. The most likely candidate appears to be the Molten Salt breeder reactor, also known as the Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor. With nuclear breeder reactors, the world will have electric vehicles at their disposal. However, for long distance travel, the world must continue development of ammonia-fueled vehicles. The best candidate appears to be a prototype hybrid electric-ammonia fueled vehicle that is being promoted by the South Koreans.

By 2100, the carbon dioxide in the world’s atmosphere will increase by over 3 trillion tons. This is inevitable without change. It will result in temperatures approximately 6 degrees higher (3.5° C) than today. Virtually all the glaciers of the world, except in the Himalayas, will completely melt, which will devastate agriculture in the Far East. The world’s oceans will rise by about 5.9 feet in 2100, which will inundate over 100 million homes and play havoc with the coastal cities of the world. All of this can be ameliorated if the world limits the use of fossil fuels in favor of ammonia fuels and switches to the use of nuclear breeder reactors.

The Coming Chaos: Fossil Fuel Depletion and Global Warming is a 220-page paperback with a retail price of $39.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4809-5471-7. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Apple Valley, CA Author Publishes Novel

360 Degrees of Love, a new book by Rita Stewart Lynum and De Vaughn La Bon, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

360 Degrees of Love is a romance novel with strong themes of spirituality, religion, perseverance, and destiny. Reata La Rue and The Man are the novel’s main characters. They meet and it is true love. They were not ready for each other the first time they met, and became separated due to circumstances beyond their control. As fate would have it, twenty years later they finally do entwine their destinies again after a chance meeting in California. The solitary trails that they took over the previous years have brought them back around 360 degrees and back to each other’s arms as they continue together on their journey on the trail of what is not a trail of 360 Degrees of Love. Seeing each other again some twenty years later, they found that their love for each other was even stronger, more mature, more magnetic. Their renewed love for each other took on the force and effect of an “atomic love connection,” best described as something in the “Twin Flame” and or “Soul mate” realm. Their love is a beautiful thing to behold. Follow them closely as they continue along the final trail together, but this time with 360 Degrees of Love.
