Backyard Bug Patrol Discusses Kay Hagan Tick Act And Its Implications On Company Blog

January 10, 2020 – – Great Falls, VA based Backyard Bug Patrol, a company that specializes in controlling a wide variety of different pests, recently published a blog post discussing the Kay Hagan Tick Act, how it came to be and the benefits it may potentially offer. The blog post goes into great detail about the act and exactly what it means for the pest control industry. Based on the information provided, readers can easily drawy their own conclusions regarding what the act may mean for them.

The Kay Hagan Tick Act is expected to assign 20 million dollars toward tick-borne and other vector-borne disease research, treatments, diagnostics and vaccines. Potomac is known to be a city that has everything—watersports, restaurants and much more—but the enjoyment of these activities is severely limited during certain parts of the year due to the prevalence of tick-borne diseases. Later this month, however, the President is expected to sign a number of acts into law to address the issue, with the Kay Hagan Tick Act being one of them. The blog post from Backyard Bug Control which talks about the act can be found at https://backyardbugpatrol.com/maryland/montgomery/tick-tragedy-triumph-potomac-md.

The bill is named after former United States senator Kay Hagan, who unfortunately passed away around two months ago from encephalitis. The disease was caused by a virus transmitted by ticks. “It’s truly saddening that complications from a tick bite that happened at least three years ago ended up taking Senator Hagan away from her family, friends and the nation as a whole,” says Backyard Bug Patrol’s blog post. “Condolences from President Obama and former VP and 2020 presidential hopeful Joe Biden confirm the major role Senator Hagan played serving her community and country. And now with the Kay Hagan Tick Act on its way to being implemented, she’ll continue to play a role in improving the health of Americans in the area of tick-borne diseases.”

Ticks become infected by feeding on groundhogs, squirrels, mice or other rodents that have the virus in their blood. Infected ticks then spread the virus, named the Powassan virus, to people and other animals by biting them. Ticks cannot, however, catch the virus from people, and thus they are considered ‘dead-end’ hosts for the virus. Read about some of the ways in which Backyard Bug Patrol manages ticks at https://backyardbugpatrol.com/tick-control.

There are a number of precautions one can take to try and avoid being bitten by a tick and thus reduce the chances of being infected. As stated on WebMD, “When you’re walking through an area with heavier brush, take extra precautions: Tuck your pants legs into your socks so the tick can’t get to your skin. And, if you know you’re in a tick-infested area, wear clothing—especially shoes, socks, and pants—treated with permethrin, which repels and kills ticks. Insect repellents containing DEET, which you put on your skin, add more protection, but DEET alone is nowhere near as effective as permethrin. Once you get home, check your body for ticks; under your arms, in and around your ears, inside your belly button, behind your knees, between your legs, around your waist, and on your hairline and scalp.”

Backyard Bug Patrol is one of the top pest control service providers in the industry. They pride themselves in going out of their way to provide excellent customer service and ensure that every project is completed to the satisfaction of their customers. The company will celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2020, having helped customers all over Virginia and Maryland with a variety of pest-related issues.

The pest control company has received a large number of reviews from their many pleased customers. Some reviews of the company can be found at https://www.yelp.com/biz/backyard-bug-patrol-great-falls-2. One 5-Star Yelp review says the company delivers, “Great service. Christian comes to our home and always has a smile. He goes the extra mile to address the areas I am concerned about in the yard. We live in Mount Vernon, and there is a long storm drain in the community that always has standing water after rains. Now, with the treatment from Backyard Bugs, we are able to enjoy our outdoor patio and yard. We have pets so it is important that the service uses treatments that are safe for our four legged family too.”

Dental Solutions of South Florida Dentist Now a Vivos Integrated Clinical Advisor

January 10, 2020 – – Dental Solutions of South Florida and Tongue Tie South Florida, based in Coral Gables, Florida, has announced that Dr. Leslie Haller, DMD, is now a Vivos Integrated Clinical Advisor. Furthermore, the dental practice is now a Vivo Breathing Wellness Center. Each Vivos Integrated Clinical Advisor is an active practitioner who provides patients breakthrough Breathing Wellness care. Meanwhile, each Vivo Breathing Wellness Center is a part of the Vivos Integrated Network and are guided by a Vivos Integrated Clinical Advisor.

Dr. Leslie Haller explains, “Breathing Wellness is a movement aimed at having optimal health and vitality by focusing on the three foundational elements of breathing, airway, and sleep. The principle is that an open, healthy, and fully functional airway will lead to proper breathing, particularly at night, where it promotes a deep sleep and the rejuvenation of the body that is required for optimum health and wellness.”

Healthcare practitioners all over the world are starting to pay careful attention to the impact of healthy breathing during sleep on the overall health of people. This is because studies have revealed that compromised breathing during sleep, such as obstructive sleep apnea, has been linked to a number of health issues that can be serious and life-threatening.

There are three primary types of sleep apnea: obstructive sleep apnea, which can be mild, moderate, or severe; central sleep apnea; and complex/mixed sleep apnea. Doctors believe that treating apnea will result in a better overall health and vitality. Unfortunately, millions of people suffering from sleep apnea in the U.S. are undiagnosed. Those who suspect that they or their loved one has sleep apnea are advised to consult with a specially-trained dentist like the Vivos dentist, Dr. Haller, or a physician.

The Breathing Wellness movement goes beyond the traditional palliative paradigm used for dental sleep medicine. This is because palliative treatments often result in the need for a lifetime of intervention and treatment. On the other hand, breathing wellness offers opportunities for enhancement and restoration of the airway.

There are a number of symptoms of mild to moderate sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing. These include chronic snoring, daytime drowsiness, gasping episodes while asleep, persistent headaches, obesity & large neck, hypertension, mood swings, and chronic pain.

There are a number of factors that may contribute to sleep apnea or sleep disordered breathing. These include obesity, narrow or obstructed airway, increase neck circumference, alcohol abuse, nasal obstruction or congestion, drug abuse, and sleep aids or sedatives. There may also be several anatomical factors that can contribute to sleep apnea. These include mandibular retrognathia, macroglossia, tonsillar/adenoidal hypertrophy, enlargement/elongation of the soft palate, and maxillary hypoplasia.

The breathing wellness therapeutics that can be provided by a Vivos Integrated Clinical Advisor, like Dr. Haller, is through the use of effective, safe and non-invasive biomimetic oral appliances that serve to prevent and treat mandibular retrognathia and maxillary hypoplasia. Mandibular retrognathia is commonly known as an overbite, which is the result of an abnormal posterior positioning of the mandible, relative to the soft tissues and facial skeleton. On the other hand, maxillary hypoplasia is an underdevelopment of the bones of the upper jaw, which results into a midfacial retrusion that creates an illusion of the jutting forward of the lower jaw. These are the common underlying conditions resulting in sleep disordered breathing, after excluding metabolic and neurologic cases. Vivos conducts research on therapeutic oral appliances, Class I and Class II medical devices, collateral therapeutic protocols, maxillary & mandibular guides, and advanced nutritional supplements.

Those who are looking for a Coral Gables dentist or want to consult with someone to determine if they have sleep apnea, can check out the Dental Solutions of South Florida and Tongue Tie South Florida website, or contact them on the phone or through email.

Eleanor Health Unveils Durham NC Office to Treat Opioid and Substance Use Disorders

January 10, 2020 – – Durham, NC – Eleanor Health, an outpatient addiction and mental health services provider designed to deliver an integrated, evidence-based outpatient care and addiction recovery platform for opioid and substance use disorders, unveiled its newest office location in Durham, NC. This location is the fourth office opened by the company as part of a plan to open 10 to 15 Eleanor Health sites, first in North Carolina, and then across the country, in the next year. This newest location is at 3711 University Drive, Suite B, Durham, NC.

The Eleanor Health community-based approach was specifically created to make recovery accessible to all. They take an innovative approach to treating addiction, now the leading cause of death in America for those under age 50, by treating addiction as a chronic disease. They have differentiated themselves by taking an evidence-based clinical approach, offering a value-based payment model, extending their level of care and coordination, having field-based community recovery teams, supporting technology, and focusing on whole-person outcomes. They refer to the people they serve as “community members”.

Their first North Carolina site opened in Mooresville, followed by an office in High Point. As with these other locations, the Durham team focuses on the complete set of clinical and non-clinical factors of their members to manage their disease and provide them with both human and high-tech support. They provide treatment for adults with opioid, alcohol, and other substance use disorders; older adults who may require more intensive medical support; relapsed individuals seeking to reengage their recovery process; and pregnant women who need addiction treatment as well as OB/GYN services. Their approach is designed to treat patients wherever they are on their journey to recovery, through outpatient clinics, community settings, and at home by field-based teams and the use of technology.

“We strive to make a real, positive difference in the lives of our members, their loved ones, and the communities we serve. We recognize that every member is a unique individual and treat them with dignity and compassion,” said Corbin Petro, CEO and co-founder of Eleanor Health.“Through proactive, consistent outreach, we meet members where they are and help them get to the future they want.”

Eleanor Health offers a comprehensive substance use disorder treatment program that includes medication, therapy, and connection to resources. Treatment plans may include medications to assist with withdrawal symptoms or co-occurring mental health disorders, such as anxiety or depression. In addition to these treatments, they provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy and counseling. There are also psychiatric services that include evaluation and ongoing medication management for mental health needs.

Eleanor Health has a network of Community Recovery Partners in the Durham area, to assist members and their families with housing, employment, healthcare, childcare, legal services, wellness programs, and continuing education. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is a major collaborator with Eleanor Health to expand access to their treatment services throughout the state. “Our partnership with Blue Cross NC is so important in bringing addiction care into neighborhoods that have long been underserved. This reach must extend care towards those who need it, bringing it nearby, while keeping it financially affordable,” said Petro. “By working with local systems of healthcare and community partners, we can multiply our efforts in supporting addiction treatment and recovery.”

More than 21 million people have a substance use disorder in the United States. Drug overdose claimed the lives of more than 700,000 from 1999 to 2017. North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services confirmed that more than 1,600 opioid overdose deaths occurred in 2018.

Eleanor Health is named after the Greek meaning of the word Eleanor, “shining light” and as an homage to Eleanor Roosevelt, a famed human rights champion, who advocated for universal medical care. Eleanor Health is located approximately four miles from Duke University Medical Center. To go to the new Durham office, visit https://goo.gl/maps/aQry1hJ9MSJ5mMBs8 for directions.

National German Shepherd Day Celebrated at TheWoofBook.Com

January 10, 2020 – – Laguna Niguel, CA – As part of its ongoing series of National Dog Breed Day celebrations, TheWoofBook.com announces January 10th as National German Shepherd Day. German Shepherds, loyal and courageous companions, make wonderful family pets. Their reputation for being willing to sacrifice their lives for their human companions is legendary.

Mallory Lahkota, Breed Ambassador for TheWoofBook.com notes, “Even though the German Shepherd is fiercely loyal, gentle and a wonderful family guardian, the breed retains a bit of a standoffish nature, so don’t expect them to instantly become friends with just anyone.”

German Shepherds belong to the Herding Group and are large dogs, standing 26 inches at the shoulder. In spite of their ruggedness and courageous nature, with their flowing body curves, they are the picture of gracefulness.

Lahkota points out that “While courage and loyalty may first come to mind when you think of this breed, German Shepherds are also very smart. They are capable of quickly learning commands for many different tasks.”

The German Shepherd breed, along with all the dog breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club, has its own group at TheWoofBook.com. German Shepherd owners and lovers can join this group or a dog groups of their choice by going to https://thewoofbook.com/groups/GermanShepherds.

Traumatic Brain Injury Lawyer Ready To Take On New Clients In Southern California

January 10, 2020 – – Ontario, CA based Napolin Accident Injury Lawyer is pleased to announce that they are ready to work with new clients who have had the misfortune of suffering a traumatic brain injury as a result of another party’s negligence. The brain injury lawyer specializes in all forms of personal injury cases, giving them an extensive pool of legal expertise to pull from when they pursue a case on behalf of their clients.

Also known as TBIs, traumatic brain injuries are “often caused by an impact from an external mechanical force, such as a blow to the head,” according to the firm. “Such a blow can occur from a slip and fall incident, physical assault, or automobile accident. When it occurs during a car crash, the face and/or skull strikes the steering wheel, door, or a loose object within the automobile. If you have experienced a blow to the face or skull, it is important to know about the possible health consequences that come with it.”

While it is relatively easy for a TBI victim to observe the immediate effects of an accident that causes injury, such as pain, stress, and consequential medical bills upon receiving treatment, they may be unaware of the fact that the ramifications of a TBI can follow them for the rest of their life. Some of the most common symptoms that victims experience include painful and enduring headaches, reductions in memory retention, and even more generalized pain that extends down the back of the head, neck, and shoulders.

Napolin Accident Injury Lawyer states, “In many cases, these pains and aches worsen over time and never get better. It may cause cognitive dysfunction that leads to thought overload, where the person is unable to handle new or complex information. Often, patients suffer from emotional problems such as stress, insomnia, and fatigue. Later in life, it could lead to lowered sensory abilities and may cause difficulty in communication as well as increased vulnerability to mental disease, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.”

This tends to mean that TBI victims will require ongoing medical attention as they age. Furthermore, they may even find themselves unable to hold down a job due to the severity of their symptoms—pain alone may make it difficult for them to work for prolonged periods in a professional environment, especially if it involves manual labour, but many jobs require a basic degree of cognitive ability at the very least. Due to these reasons, a traumatic brain injury has the potential to keep a victim from finding a means of income. Fortunately, Napolin Accident Injury Lawyer offers a free consultation to new clients who wish to explore their options. Learn more about TBIs and the legal options that victims have at the following link: Traumatic Brain Injury Legal Help.

According to the firm, “Depending on whether you suffered your injury while at work or not, the legal conversation changes. If you understand the legal base for your case, you will know what you need to provide and prove. It is essential to gather your own evidence as well as help your attorney win your case. If you were injured at work and suffer from a TBI, you need to file a workers’ compensation case. If you slipped and fell, causing you to have a brain injury, you will need to file a personal injury case. In either case, you should hire an attorney. Proving TBI injuries is extremely challenging. Attorneys work with medical professionals who understand the system well enough to know what to do.” As they build a case, a TBI victim’s attorney may require that they undergo certain tests to document the extent of their injuries. These tests include X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and so on.

Those who wish to learn more about the firm and the legal services they offer, particularly for victims of traumatic brain injuries, may visit their website and other online resources for additional information. Clients may reach out to Alexander D. Napolin of Napolin Accident Injury Lawyer or connect with the firm through their preferred social media platforms to pursue any further inquiries as well. Rockwell Trading Interviews Pilot Turned Stock Trader Who Cuts Workweek by 50%

January 10, 2020 – – Rockwell Trading, a trading education company based out of Austin, Texas, recently interviewed Paul Harper, one of their success stories from 2019. Paul is a pilot who decided to give stock trading a try and much to his own surprise, was able to cut his workweek in half in less than 18 months of trading stocks.

Paul and his wife were skeptical about the Rockwell Trading system, but determined to get a jumpstart on retirement, he decided to give it a try. Paul attended a free stock trading Bootcamp offered by Markus Heitkoetter, founder of Rockwell Trading back in 2018.

The Free Rockwell Trading Bootcamp he attended is a four-hour in-depth workshop where their team walks through their entire methodology, step-by-step. It is designed for people with little to no experience in stock trading, traders who are tired of inconsistent returns, and investors who are frustrated with their retirement accounts. After the Bootcamp, Paul recalls that he and his wife still remained a bit skeptical after attending. But committed to making this “swing trading” thing work out, he attended a three-day Live event, which was where he dove in headfirst and joined Rockwell Trading’s Mastermind Program.

The Rockwell Trading Mastermind Program is an exclusive group reserved for their most serious students. Each year, they end up turning down a lot of traders who don’t meet the group’s requirements. Their two head instructors, Markus (Heitkoetter) and Mark Hodge provide guidance to the group, share their experience and help the members overcome their own limitations.

After wrapping up the last day of the event, Paul got back to his hotel room and called his wife to let her know he’d joined their Mastermind Program – for $12,000. Naturally, when she heard that her jaw hit the floor. She was speechless, Paul recalls. But Paul assured her to look at it as an investment or sort of like going to college. His wife, although still skeptical, agreed that if Paul was to find success, it made sense to surround himself with coaches and mentors that have a track record of successfully teaching others how to consistently make money in the markets.

Fast forward to now, Paul has exchanged 30+ hours of work as pilot/aeronautical engineer for about 45 minutes each day looking at stocks. He points out that because he is an aeronautical engineer, he was immediately attracted to the PXO software, which takes all the guesswork out of the trading. He notes that the software and the Mastermind program make everything so easy by feeding him the necessary information, and he merely needed to put what he learned into practice.

Those who are interested in learning more about the company can read Rockwell Trading reviews to hear what their clients have to say. There are a lot of reviews out there, and the vast majority seemed to have found success in one way or another with Rockwell Trading. For instance, Rockwell Trading has been an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau since June 2005 and the company has an A+ rating from the BBB. A recent review from Vivette Z. reads, “I am very happy to have joined the Mastermind program. I consider it an investment in myself and my trading education. The support is phenomenal. Worth every penny. Markus and the whole Rockwell family are honest and sincere and committed to our success.” Rockwell Trading has a number of different educational courses and tools designed to help regular people like Paul successfully trade stocks and options.

Minneapolis, MN Law Firm Sheds Light On White Collar Crimes

January 10, 2020 – – Ryan Garry LLC, a criminal justice law firm based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is reaching out to the wider community to explain white collar crimes. The firm, which represents individuals and businesses dealing with accusations and criminal charges brought by the state and federal government, has many years of experience dealing with crimes of this nature.

Ryan Garry, founder of Ryan Garry LLC, said, “White collar crimes refer to crimes that generally do not involve violence, such as forgery, fraud, identity theft and embezzlement, but they can be as every bit as complex as any other class of crime. If you’re dealing with white collar crimes, it’s very important that you hire an attorney that has extensive experience in the field as well as the resources necessary to accurately analyze the large quantities of documents that usually come with these types of cases. You will also do well to learn all that you can about it.”

In a recent blog post, the law firm explored the different types of white collar crimes, the first of which was mail theft—the act of intentionally taking mail owned by or intended for someone else (and without permission from a mailbox or a mail carrier), which carries a sentence of up to 3 years in prison and/or up to a $5,000 fine. Forgery, using a knowingly false writing for identification or recommendation, for example, is also a white collar crime, and carries a sentence of up to 3 years in prison and/or up to a $5,000 fine.

The law firm further went on to describe another type of white collar crime: check forgery—falsely creating or changing a check or falsely endorsing a check or trying to pay with a forged check. According to Ryan Garry LLC, check forgery carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and/or up to a $100,000 fine, depending on the amount of the check or the amount of whatever is trying to be obtained.

The blog post also looked into a number of other white collar crimes. In the post, Garry said, “Federal forgery and counterfeiting, for example, is governed by 18 U.S.C. §§ 470–514. If you deal in counterfeit obligations or securities, you could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison and/or a fine under 18 U.S.C. § 473. If you make or possess counterfeit dies, molds, or such items for making coins, you could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison and/or a fine under 18 U.S.C. § 487. If you falsely make, forge, or alter a deed, receipt, or any other writing to get money from the United States or its agents, you could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine under 18 U.S.C. § 495. If you knowingly remove, destroy, or alter the VIN on a car, you could be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison and/or a fine under 18 U.S.C. § 511.” The full blog post has information on several more white collar crimes, and interested parties may check out this article from Ryan Garry for full details.

The services provided by Ryan Garry LLC have earned the law firm much praise from their clients. On Google, Ryan Garry LLC has a near perfect rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars. In a recent 5-Star review, a user by the name of NB says in their review, “Ryan and staff came highly recommended by a good friend after we found ourselves in a challenging situation. During this stressful time for our family, Ryan was extremely professional and kept us up to date on all of his interactions and next steps. His response was always in a timely manner any time of day or night. This case did not go to court because of Ryan and his readiness to defend my family member. I would highly recommend Ryan and staff for future attorney needs. Thank you, Ryan and staff, for making this the best holiday ever!”

January 10, 2020 – –

Wentzville, Missouri based Brian Dawson Roofing & Construction is delighted to share their expertise with local property owners regarding the four best roof types for homes and commercial properties in the St. Louis area. Those looking to learn about the best types of roofs can rest assured that the advice they receive comes from an experienced team of professionals. Brian Dawson Roofing has been offering roof repair and replacement services, as well as exterior remodeling services, to the St. Charles County, MO area for over 20 years.

Laura Cameron, speaking on behalf of the company, says, “We believe that every property owner should have the right information to make an informed decision about their roof repairs and replacements. A roof should be chosen carefully based on their performance as well as their price and appearance. Longevity, maintenance and the impact on other costs should also be considered.”

In their article, they discuss the features and benefits of the best four roofing options: asphalt, cedar, slate and clay. Brian Dawson Roofing & Construction has an intrinsic knowledge of each of these roofs and can advise on both new construction projects as well as roof replacements. They have elected to specialize in asphalt roofing because of its versatility, low cost and durability, but they can install any other roofing type as well if required.

The firm were recently featured on Street Insider after they were voted the best roofer in St. Charles County in 2019 by their Community News service, which is determined by those who have bought products or services from local businesses. The award reflects customer satisfaction and the quality of the service. Cameron is quoted in the article, saying, “We have always been a company that cares. We were never one of those roofing companies that only show up at your door after a severe storm has hit your neighborhood. We’re a family-owned company, and we live in the neighborhood and care about our customers just as much as we care about ourselves. That’s why we maintain a policy of being accountable for all of our work. That’s why every job is only considered complete when the customers have expressed their satisfaction. It’s truly heartwarming to see our efforts be recognized, and we promise to keep working to remain the best roofer in St. Charles County for years to come.”

Brian Dawson Roofing can provide roof inspections and will help educate the property owner as they do so, covering common details like wall and/or chimney flashing, chimney cap/flue cap, and attic vent conditions as well as penetration pipe boots/sealant, hail damage, granule loss/blistered/curled shingles, uneven surfaces/soft decking and so on. Given the sheer number of projects they have taken on, they understand that a roof replacement is a big decision for any homeowner. Since they are aware of how overwhelming the process can be, they offer a free consultation for those who are deciding how best to invest in a new roof.

With over 20 years’ experience serving Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Lake St. Louis, O’Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Weldon Spring, Wentzville and surrounding areas, their teams have the experience to promptly help property owners decide whether to repair or replace their roof. Their customers say the same in their online reviews on Google, Facebook, Angie’s List and other review platforms.

For example, in his review on Facebook, Garry Paine, says, “Brian is an honest, trustworthy man, and his concern for the welfare of his customers is outstanding.” On Angie’s List, a recent review gives them an A-grade rating (the highest award), saying, “He came early, he’s precise, and not all companies do that. He’s really thorough, more than the other two guys. I’m going to hire him again.”

Another Angie’s List review also gives them an A-grade rating, saying, “I contacted Brian Dawson Roofing & Construction shortly after a recent storm. I worked with John, who was very knowledgeable and professional. The bid came in lower than expected. The work was performed on time. They cleaned up after the work was completed. Looks fantastic! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a roofing company.”

Cameron concludes, “We have the experience to deal with any roofing problems you have. Whether it is a small home or large commercial property, we will work with you every step of the way. We have staked our business on providing the best service and the highest quality workmanship. We would like to thank all those who have taken the time to leave their reviews online. We love reading them and look forward to more. Of course, if there is a problem, just give us a call. We want everyone to have a safe roof over their heads.”
