New Configurations for Durable Live Bait Carriers

November 27, 2019 – – After almost 20 years of making the most durable and affordable bait tanks, Bait Hotel is making a configuration change. Bait Hotel, formerly known as Better Bait Bucket, has been supplying three different models of their bait tank. The Economy, Express and Deluxe models.

These premium tanks are molded from crosslinked HDPE and embedded with nuts for easy mounting. Yes, these tanks have nuts to securely fasten the bait tank to most boats. While these molded in nuts are high quality, if customers use the wrong screws to fasten these tanks, then the screw will lock inside the nut and that screw mount will become ineffective.

Over the years, Bait Hotel tried several different configurations with various materials. Early on the company tried installing plastic water fittings spun welded to the tank. This caused problems if the threads on the fittings were chipped or became stripped. As a result, Bait Hotel changed to long life brass fittings over plastic ones resolved this issue. In addition, having brass fittings made sense because if anything were to happen to the brass fittings then customers could go to the local hardware store and buy replacements for under five dollars.

New Configurations

As mentioned before there have been three different models of each tank. Below is breakdown of each previous model: Economy- tank by itself with no fittings or plumbing, Express- comes with drain and overflow, Deluxe- includes drain, overflow and baffle unit.

The configurations will be as follows: Express- including everything our deluxe model has drain, overflow, and baffle unit (for the DIY customers) labor not included. Both of these models have the same plumbing, but the difference is that the Express model is designed for customers that would like to customize and add their own configurations of where each part goes. The price difference is that the Deluxe will include the labor for the installation whereas the Express will not.

Extras

An additional bonus for customer is that all tanks will include mounting brackets at no additional charge. The Express will include durable UHMW brackets and the Deluxe will include black aluminum mounting brackets. Each set will also include the screws that are designed to fit out tanks.

Replacement parts will also be available on the Bait Hotel website, should customers ever need any. This includes overflow, drains, end caps, baffle units and lids.

Customized Colors

Customized colors if desired will need to be submitted ahead of time for approval and will generally have a lead time of about 4 weeks. The additional charge will range from $50-75 per tank.

Eden Marryshow Talks About Maggie Flanigan Studio’s Acting Summer Programs NYC and How They Relate to Success and the Fear of Failure

Eden, an award-winning director, writer, and actor from Flatbush, Brooklyn, came in to talk with Charlie Sandlan, Maggie Flanigan’s Executive Director and Head of Acting.

The topic under discussion was the fear of failure and criticism and how it can cripple an artist’s hopes and dreams. Charlie has interviewed thousands of students and has always found it surprising just how prevalent fear of failure is. He wondered whether that was true for Eden when he committed to attending the school’s two-year program.

Eden said, “Yes, definitely. Definitely felt fear, continue to feel fear, continue to feel that fear of failure.” He went on to say that this fear of failure needs to be looked at in a different way, “Reframing it to me means, it has to go from failing to feedback. If we can take our egos out of it and if we can take the emotion out of it, if we take the elevator music out of it, we can look at it for what it is: feedback.”

Part of the school’s summer acting programs NYC is to help prepare students to deal with this fear of failure and how to handle criticism. Fear is one of the most crippling emotions out there and can stop aspiring artists from achieving their dreams of success.

Everyone experiences that fear at some point in their life but how it’s dealt with is crucial. The school understands the importance of teaching students to deal with these emotions and how to use them positively.

Eden went on to say, “If you’re freaking out, it’s probably a good thing. I believe that intuition, fear can be a good thing. If you feel that fear, that’s the path.”

That is sometimes easier said than done for many, but he is not wrong. Fear of failure and criticism can be crippling if allowed to dictate future actions, but they can also be used for good. Criticism can help change an artist into a better actor if looked at properly and overcoming fear can put an artist on the road to success. As author Roy T. Bennett put it, “Failure is a bend in the road, not the end of the road. Learn from failure and keep moving forward.”

Eden is well on his way to achieving his dreams. As well as landing a coveted role in New Amsterdam he has co-written, produced and starred in the Feature Film Bruce!!! which garnered the Grand Jury Prize: Best Director at the American Black Film Festival, the HBO Award for Best Film and the Audience Award at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival.

Learning the lessons that were taught in the school and how to make the most of the resultant skills can help a graduate take the first few steps down the road to success. Without those few steps, hopes and dreams will simply come to a dead end.
