Toronto Lawyer Announces Services For The Defence Of Impaired Driving Charges

March 25, 2019 – – Adam Little, a criminal lawyer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has announced the availability of his services for those who are facing impaired driving charges. Adam is a lawyer in the firm Toronto DUI Lawyers and is focusing on DUI criminal defence, for which he has achieved high success rates in Toronto. He has developed a reputation of being tenacious in his way of challenging impaired driving charges that has brought about positive results for his clients.

Adam Little himself says, “Even though the laws are very precise in Toronto regarding DUI misdemeanours, a top of the line criminal driving under the influence (DUI) lawyer can defend you optimally in court. The strategy we adopt is to cross examine key prosecution witnesses and focus on points and questions that will favour our clients. Anything else is simply not taken up. The main objective is to create reasonable doubt in the minds of the judges that the accused did not commit the offence as per the arguments being advanced by the prosecution. This is where our expertise as a leading lawyer for DUI in Toronto, Ontario is brought into play.”

For instance, when a driver is asked to provide a breath sample, this must be done using an approved instrument by a qualified technician. And before blood alcohol concentration (BAC) can be used as evidence, there are two things that have to be determined. These are the BAC at the time of providing the samples and the person’s BAC at the time of the offence.

Adam advises first-time impaired driving offenders who have been charged to consult an impaired driving lawyer as soon as possible because failure to do so can cause them to lose their case at trial and they might be subjected to the maximum punishment for impaired driving charges. Speed is vital to be able to have a good defence. Adam’s firm has a team of investigators who will collect evidence first-hand to make sure that the charter rights of the accused have been upheld. The defence to be made during the trial will be to use this evidence as well as cross-examine the Crown witnesses.

Adam explains that the defence of those accused of impaired driving charges in Toronto starts with the collection of evidence at the site and finding out whether all of the charter issues have been strictly followed by the police officer who imposed the charges. These include arbitrary detention, the right to be informed of the reason why, and the right to counsel. For those cases where the officer stopped the driver without warrant, the defence can raise the issue of unreasonable search and seizure.

Other important rights of the accused are the right to be tried within a reasonable time and the right to full disclosure. The defence will study the evidence held by the prosecution and also cross-examine the Crown witnesses.

According to the firm, one the main aspects that have to be established in an impaired driving case is proof of offence. The firm’s experienced lawyer will perform a number of procedures to analyze whether all laws have been strictly conformed with. Aside from the vital elements of time and date, the identity of the accused person and the jurisdiction, the apprehending officer should also have a reasonable basis for suspecting the impaired ability of the suspect is actually due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol. Furthermore, it must be shown by the prosecution that the accused had been in control of the vehicle over the past three hours. Physical coordination tests may be required to check for sobriety and based on those tests, an additional demand can be made for a blood test, an approved instrument check, or a drug evaluation.

Adam Little obtained his LLB degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006. He was a lecturer at several educational conferences for the Criminal Lawyers’ Association of Ontario and the Law Society of Upper Canada. Those interested in consulting with the DUI lawyer can visit the firm’s website or even their offices in Toronto. Their offices are open everyday, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Poplar Grove Operations Update

Underground mining progressing well, with the coal face and roof support operations performing as expected. The mine development contractor has demobilised.
Initial RoM coal volumes being brought to the surface are lower than forecast due to a new MSHA directive limiting operations to one loader.
Consequently, the Company has decided to bring forward installation of the slope conveyor.
Due to the installation of the slope conveyor first coal sales are now expected to be in the week of April 22.
Despite delaying first coal sales, bringing forward installation of the slope conveyor will eliminate the haulage bottleneck currently limiting the mine’s production ramp-up.
Underground connection to the intake ventilation shaft will be made this week, allowing the establishment of the permanent ventilation system.

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / March 25, 2019 / Paringa Resources Limited (”Paringa” or ”Company”) (NASDAQ: PNRL; ASX: PNL) advises that in the initial ramp up phase, underground mucking and transportation of Run of Mine (”RoM”) material to the surface has to-date been undertaken using underground loaders, rather than a permanent slope conveyor. RoM volumes being brought to the surface are lower than expected due to an MSHA directive last week limiting operations to one loader.

Consequently, the Company has decided to install the slope conveyor sooner than originally planned. The slope conveyor has the capacity (nameplate) to transport up to 2,000 tons of RoM material per hour from the slope bottom and will enable the Company to further improve the planned ramp up of production from the mine. First coal sales are now expected to be in the week of April 22 instead of this week.

Although the first shipment of coal will be delayed, the establishment of the permanent ventilation system and operations using the mine slope conveyor will allow the Company to commence a typical underground room and pillar mining sequence, significantly increasing mining advance rates and eliminating the haulage bottleneck currently limiting the mine’s production ramp-up.

Connection to the intake ventilation shaft will be made this week allowing the ventilation update necessary to commission the 400-hp main mine fan. The connection to the intake shaft and commissioning the mine fan allows the establishment of the permanent ventilation system.

Image 3: Roof bolting operations

Underground operations

Underground mining and bottom development have now transitioned to Paringa, with the slope development contractor demobilising from the site.

Establishment of the permanent ventilation system and operations using the mine slope conveyor allows the Company to commence a typical underground room and pillar mining sequence as well as enabling significantly increased production rates. The slope conveyor has the capacity (nameplate) to transport up of 2,000 tons of coal per hour from the slope bottom.

Surface operations

Installation and commissioning of the slope conveyor enables the underground and surface operations to be integrated. RoM material will travel up the slope conveyor to the slope portal. RoM material then travels on the overland conveyor which then deposits it into the raw coal stockpile for processing at the CHPP.

Coal sales

The change in sequencing of the installation of the mine slope conveyor and establishment of the permanent ventilation system has resulted in a four-week delay in timing to first coal sales, but will significantly increase mining rates through eliminating the haulage bottleneck currently limiting the mine’s production ramp-up. As a result, the net impact of the change in sequence is an effective two week deferral in 2019 coal production and sales.

Forward Looking Statements

This report may include forward-looking statements. These forward-looking statements are based on Paringa’s expectations and beliefs concerning future events. Forward looking statements are necessarily subject to risks, uncertainties and other factors, many of which are outside the control of Paringa, which could cause actual results to differ materially from such statements. Unity Metals Identifies Target Zones at Margurete Gold Project

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / March 25, 2019 / Unity Metals Corp. (the “Company”) (TSXV: UTY) is pleased to announce that, after completing a detailed compilation of historic data, the Company has identified three target zones at the Margurete claims: the FB Zone, The Eastern Zone and the Western Zone.

(To view the full-size image, please click here)

The FB Zone is highlighted by a successful drilling program in 1986 by Falconbridge. In particular, hole 86-3 had an average grade of 0.738g/t Au over 63.11m, beginning at 4.25m. A summary of the higher gold bearing intervals is summarized in the table below. The hole included multiple separate intervals which graded greater than 1g/t Au, indicating a broad mineralizing system. Holes 86-10, 86-11, and 86-12 were all drilled north from a pad 25m south of 86-3. Multiple auriferous intervals were encountered in each hole as summarized below:

(Assays and logs from Hardy, 1987—BC Assessment Report 15763 and a Charlemagne Resources Ltd. Internal report)

The Eastern Zone is distinguished by a historic gold-in-soil anomaly trend, identified in surveys performed by Falconbridge, in 1985 and 1986. The trend begins at the historic Doratha Morton Mine east of the claims and follows the Premier Fault to the western end of the claims for a total strike length of over 3km. Within this trend, the highest soil sample assayed at 1700ppb Au. This gold-in soil trend follows an identified VLF-EM conductor for its length. This conductor was the target of the 1986 Falconbridge drilling. There has been very minor documented work completed in this area despite excellent rock exposure and this represents a high priority zone.

In the Western Zone, Archer Cathro (1983) identified several gold and silver bearing rock samples. Sample M23014R ran greater than 10g/t Au and 68g/t Ag and sample M20545R graded 4g/t Au and 10g/t Ag. These samples were taken proximal to the contact between intrusives and the Margurete breccia. This is of interest because historic gold deposits in the Phillips Arm Gold Camp were generally proximal to contacts with the intrusive. The western side of the claims is underexplored and historic data (soils, rocks, and VLF) indicates there is excellent potential.

The Company is in the process of prioritizing these targets for the upcoming 2019 diamond drill program.

The report is a perfect blend of insights and market figures which would enable the business strategists to churn out the future business strategies.

Read complete report description here.
According to the report, Automotive Composite Liftgate Market is likely to reach an estimated value of US$ 1,183.3 million in 2024.
Liftgate is generally made of steel by auto OEMs themselves; however, with the advent of lightweight components, composites have been in limelight and have already become successful in making a remarkable presence in liftgate of vehicles. Composites play a vital role in contributing to weight reduction without compromising the strength and performance of the overall system. This is attracting tier players as well as raw material suppliers including resin, fiber, and coating suppliers, to tap the growing opportunity of composites in the automotive liftgate market.

Composite liftgate is among the few automotive components that are experiencing staggering growth. Composite liftgate account for less than one-fifth of the overall liftgate market at present but offers huge growth potential in the coming years. Stringent regulations imposed by governments of many countries are putting pressure on the automakers to curb the overall vehicle weight to increase fuel efficiency or reduce carbon emissions. As a result, liftgates experienced a significant change in the selection of materials over the period.

Hope for a Democratic Future, Praise for Resistance Units in Iran, Calls for a Firm US Policy at NCRI-US’s Nowruz Reception

WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / March 25, 2019 / The U.S. Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI-US) celebrated the Iranian New Year, Nowruz, with a dinner reception at the historic Mayflower Hotel on March 22nd.

The traditional ‘Haftseen’ marking the Nowruz holidays, an explosion of culture and color celebrating more than 3,000 years of Persian history

Several former senior U.S. officials called for a firm policy to counter the theocratic regime. Their calls were echoed by Iranian adherents of the NCRI, who declared their support for change in Iran. Members of the diplomatic corps and congressional staffers joined in the celebrations, as renowned violinist Christine Kharazian performed several classical and Iranian pieces, much to the delight of the overflowing audience.

A number of prominent speakers addressed the gathering of young and old, against the backdrop of an elaborate Haft
Seen, a traditional symbol of the ancient Persian Nowruz festivities.

NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee member, Dr. Sofey Saidi, welcomed the guests, and said, “Nowruz literally means a New Day. And I hope this year, 1398, on the Persian calendar, would indeed mark a New Day in our fettered homeland, leading to a free and democratic Iran. And given the enduring year-long uprising, change to a better and brighter future for the Iranian people seems inevitable.”

Dr. Sofey Saidi, welcoming the participants

Ms. Soona Samsami, NCRI’s Washington representative, remarked that “Nowruz is an Iranian tradition that goes back thousands of years. It is meant to mark a new beginning, the advent of spring. It reflects a profound belief in the triumph of happiness over suffering, spring over the winter, and freedom over tyranny.” Referring to the developments of the past year, she underscored the deadly impasse facing the mullahs as an indication “that another Nowruz is dawning” in Iran.

“The Resistance’s network in different Iranian cities has expanded exponentially,” Ms. Samsami explained, adding, “The linchpin of this expanding network are the resistance units taking shape, which Iranian youths have enthusiastically embraced. These resistance units have enabled the Iranian Resistance to ensure the continuation of the rebellion.”

Ms. Samsami was followed by Tom
Ridge
, the first Secretary of Homeland Security and former Governor of Pennsylvania, who noted that “since the recent sustained internal rebellion in 160 cities, there have been 10,000 people arrested. The people in their own way are saying the situation is unacceptable and they want change…

Tom Ridge, the first Secretary of Homeland Security and former Governor of Pennsylvania

“Yes, there needs to be an alternative, but not an alternative going back to the monarchy, and not an alternative embracing the system that exists today. The alternative has been broadly and eloquently and persistently expressed through the NCRI and Madame Rajavi and her 10-point Plan,” said Gov. Ridge.

Ambassador Robert Joseph, former Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, described the “astonishing” and “impressive” dedication and commitment of the residents of the sprawling facility known as Ashraf 3, whom he met during his recent visit to Albania. “Today,” he said, “we can celebrate with the confidence that a free Iran is on the horizon, that the rebirth of the great Persian nation is at hand… The Iranian people today will continue to rise up to throw off this yoke of oppression. The 10-point Plan of the MEK and the NCRI point the way to freedom and to bringing that light to take away the darkness.”

“Governor Ridge, Ambassador Blackwell and the other dignitaries know Madame Rajavi and the MEK. They spend time talking about the future of Iran, putting in hours and hours of their own time, dedicating themselves to the future of Iran just as the Iranian American community, the NCRI and the MEK in Paris, Albania, Washington and elsewhere are doing,” Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield Jr declared. “We stand for courage and for the search for the truth and ultimately for justice for the Iranian people,” the former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs emphasized.

Kenneth Blackwell, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission, stressed, “There is a new burst and a new energy and a new yearning for freedom in the country and I am so delighted to be a part of that push for freedom, along with my colleagues and friends at the NCRI and MEK. As we start a new year in this springtime, we are here to rededicate ourselves to supporting, to inspiring those who want a free and democratic Iran.”

Kenneth Blackwell, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission

“What has become clearer than ever over the last 12 months is that the Iranian people want change,” former U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain and Deputy State Department Spokesman Adam Ereli noted. “The very simple fact of the matter is, the Iranian regime has lost its legitimacy among the people of Iran, and they know it. And they know that popular groups like NCRI and the MEK have that legitimacy, which is why they are committed to crushing you and silencing you and killing you. They know you are not going to go away. They know you have support. And they know their days are numbered.”

Adam Ereli, former U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain and Deputy State Department Spokesman

Col. Wes Martin, former Senior Anti-terrorism and Force Protection Officer for all Coalition forces in Iraq, said: “There is evil in Iran and there are people doing something about it. The National Council of Resistance of Iran and the Mujahedin-e Khalq, you are doing something about it. You are truly the heroes, who have taken the fight to Tehran and you are going to see it through.

Col. Wes Martin, former Senior Anti-terrorism and Force Protection Officer for all Coalition forces in Iraq

“People look at what’s been done at Ashraf 3 and they’re amazed. I’m not amazed because I worked with them. I know what they can accomplish… Residents of Liberty, residents of Ashraf, and Ashraf 3, you are the shining light in the darkness, and you are casting that light throughout the world. And the day will come when that light will extend throughout Iran,” Col. Martin predicted.

LTC Leo McCloskey, former Commander of the Joint Inter Agency Task Force in Iraq, agreed: “They [MEK] have stood as a beacon of light wherever they go for the people of Iran. And those living in Iran now should know that they will always be around and always be there, anticipating the day that they can return to their great country.”

LTC Leo McCloskey, former Commander of the Joint Inter Agency Task Force in Iraq

Prof. Ivan Sascha Sheehan, Executive Director of the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Baltimore, said, “I am surrounded tonight by a bipartisan group of former senior U.S. officials, prominent academics, and statesmen from around the world who uniformly agree that there is no need to fear the prospect of regime change in Tehran,” adding, “Never have I been more hopeful that the tide is turning and that Tehran’s 40-year dictatorship can be replaced by a peaceful, inclusive, tolerant government that upholds human rights and gender equality and maintains positive relations with its neighbors.”

Prof. Ivan Sascha Sheehan, Executive Director, School of Public and International Affairs, University of Baltimore

“The fact that the Supreme Leader has attributed the mass protests to the MEK is a sign of the changing times,” underscored Prof. Sheehan. “In this new year, we must say to Tehran’s clerical rulers, with one voice, that their longstanding commitment to exporting fundamentalism and terrorism and their efforts to destabilize the Middle East will not be tolerated any longer. We must commit to paying attention to the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people.”

Ambassador Joseph R. DeTrani, former Special Envoy for North Korea, stressed, “What you represent is freedom. What you represent is change for the people in Iran… To see the theocracy doing what they’re doing now, it’s repulsive. It goes against the Iranian people, your history, your culture. So please continue the work you’re doing, because you will succeed. You represent good. You represent the change that’s necessary.” Ambassador DeTrani added, “What you’ve been able to do to educate the United States as to what Iran was doing with their nuclear and missile programs, we owe you a great gratitude. So keep up the good work.”

Ambassador Joseph R. DeTrani, former Special Envoy for North Korea

Prof. Raymond Tanter, Professor Emeritus at Georgetown University and former senior staff at the National Security Council, stated, “The U.S. Treasury Department designated 14 Iranian individuals and 17 entities associated with developing weapons of mass destruction… most of these entities were outed, if you will, as a result of the work of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, to its credit.”

Prof. Raymond Tanter, former senior staff at the National Security Council

“The protests come from the Iranian people,” added Prof. Tanter. “Again, the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s largest component, the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran, plays the main role in backstopping the demonstrations…. The way forward is for President Trump to increase his support for the Iranian people as they seek regime change, so that the sanctions and the protests work hand-in-hand.”

Professor Steven Schneebaum, who served as legal counsel for the MEK, said, “The struggle in which you and we are involved is not only an Iranian struggle; it is a human struggle. It is a struggle for human rights around the world, a struggle for freedom, a struggle for equality between men and women, equality of opportunity, a struggle for freedom from religious domination and a struggle for the freedom of speech, for the disposal of nuclear weapons, for the end of the use of government force, torture, and abuse of prisoners.”

Professor Steven Schneebaum

Bruce McColm, the former Executive Director of Freedom House said, “The rebellion is so extensive that there’s no functional institution that the regime can count on… So, for this happy spring, I want to say I’m in solidarity with you… You ought to be proud of yourselves, you’ve done a great job in the strength you show and the solidarity you show with your brothers and sisters abroad. And hopefully, hopefully we’ll get to an Iran that is free and democratic.”

Bruce McColm, former Executive Director of Freedom House

The Nowruz celebration concluded by another performance by Kharazian and her ensemble.
