As Lambrecht noted, as a devoted beekeeper, he is alarmed by the news stories about honey bee losses and the challenges that they face. From extreme weather and parasites to Varroa mites, viruses, and pesticide use, the odds are unfortunately increasingly stacked against honey bees.

Inspired by a keen desire to help his beloved honey bees, Lambrecht and Honeycomb Hives have developed an innovative new approach to beekeeping to try to help bees survive these various challenges.

In addition, because the Honeycomb Hive angled roof eliminates condensation problems, any rain or other moisture will run down the roof panels and side walls, resulting in no water dripping on bees.
