Calling Medical Professionals In NJ, MA & PA

New Jersey, 11/13/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

In their video, Refer Your Clients to Summit Behavioral Health, the organization’s Chief Operating Officer, Maria Ulmer MA, LMFT, CAADC, spoke directly to other medical professionals about referring clients with addiction issues to Summit, and how they handle the transition for both the provider and the client.

Ulmer stressed the importance of communication between the referring doctor or other medical professional, as well as the smooth transfer for the client. Speaking directly to potential referrers, Ulmer said, “It’s truly important to us that we work very closely with you to understand what you would like with a patient that you’ve been working with or the family that you’ve been working with for quite some time.”

Additionally, Ulmer said that it’s discussing a client’s treatment plan objectives and discharge planning with their previous medical care provider is of vital importance to the client’s potential progress in rehabilitation. As a client is transferred to Summit Behavioral Health, a level of communication will be established between the two providers, deciding the frequency and manner in which the two will discuss the client.

Summit Behavioral Health is happy to accept referrals for any of their treatment programs – detox, residential, and outpatient rehabilitation. Once in treatment, the focus for the client will include a personalized treatment plan including therapy, addiction education, 12-step programs, and relapse prevention.

Summit utilizes an individual approach to treatment, knowing that each client is unique, to compassionately guide them through the challenging first days of sobriety through after-care and to long-lasting recovery.

How Long Do I Have to Initiate An Auto Accident Lawsuit?

Boca Raton, FL, USA, 11/08/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

Boca car accident lawyer, Joe Osborne, is committed to helping Florida residents who have been involved in car accidents in which negligence played a part get the compensation that they deserve. He knows that in order to accomplish that, car accident victims must understand the importance of seeking legal representation sooner rather than later to avoid running out of time to file a personal injury lawsuit.

Time Limits for Filing a Car Accident Lawsuit in Florida

Every state has a statute that sets time limits on how long a plaintiff has to file a lawsuit in civil court against the party (or parties) that are liable for the injuries sustained in a car accident. This law is known as the statute of limitations.

In Florida, the statute of limitations for personal injury cases (which include car accidents) is four years from the date of the accident. That means that if you are going to sue for the injuries that you suffered in a car accident, you must have the lawsuit filed in Florida’s civil courts within four years. If you don’t file your suit within this time frame, it’s very unlikely that the court will agree to hear it at all.

However, there can be an exception to the four-year limit if a plaintiff doesn’t discover that he or she actually suffered harm for a period of time following the accident. In those rare instances, the time limit for filing could be extended.

The same statute of limitations of four years applies to any lawsuit that you wish to file regarding damage to (or for the total loss of) your car as a result of the crash.

Time Limits for a Wrongful Death Case Resulting from a Car Accident

When the worst happens, and there is a fatality involved in a car accident, plaintiffs have a shorter amount of time to file a wrongful death lawsuit. The statute of limitations for this type of case is two years, and the time begins upon the date of the individual’s death, if it is different from the date of the accident.

Don’t Wait to Contact a Boca Car Accident Lawyer Today

It is important to make sure that you have enough time to file a lawsuit for your car accident, even when you believe that your case will be handled satisfactorily by the insurance company claim process. If the deadline for filing is getting close, you should consider speaking with an experienced car accident attorney to go over your options.

If you or a loved one has been in a car accident, contact attorney Joe Osborne today at (561) 293-2600, to ensure that you don’t run out of time to file your car accident lawsuit.

Summit Behavioral Health Launches Health And Wellness Series

New Jersey, 11/06/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

In a recently released video that is part of their Health and Wellness series, Summit Behavioral Health discusses what it is that separates their rehabilitation facilities from others. Chief Operating Officer, Maria Ulmer MA, LMFT, CAADC, answers questions about differences clients will experience when attending Summit versus other drug and alcohol addiction programs.

Ulmer boils down Summit’s success into two areas of strength, the quality of treatment and the providers who provide the treatment. She goes on to explain that there is an environment of compassion and caring found within the organization. “At Summit, we are truly approaching each individual with an empathetic, genuinely understanding and warm heart.”

This compassion and understanding, according to Ulmer, extends to individuals seeking treatment for drug or alcohol addiction from the moment they call for information all the way through their treatment and even after, with their after-care programs. Summit strives to ensure that every person seeking help is “embraced by someone who cares.”

Summit meets clients where they are and provides them with an individualized treatment program in order to help them begin their path to recovery. It is through dedicated providers and staff, who truly want to make a difference in the lives of clients, that Summit is able to reach clients in ways that foster recovery and a healthy life after treatment.

Summit Behavioral Health, a provider of various holistic treatment programs for addiction to drugs and alcohol, believes all of their rehabilitation services are in line with their core values of providing hope and healing to those who are suffering with life-threatening conditions. Individualized care for each client is at the core of those values. Helping clients connect with their treatment mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and approaching it with love and compassion is at the very heart of Summit’s mission and vision.

Serenity At Summit Offers Teen Addiction Treatment In New Jersey & Haverhill MA

New Jersey, 11/03/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

Chief Operating Officer of Summit Behavioral Health, Maria Ulmer MA, LMFT, CAADC, recently recorded a video covering teen addiction treatment options as part  of to the organization’s Health and Wellness series. In this video, Ulmer discuss the addiction treatment programs that Summit offers to teens and young adults.

For teens who are between the ages of 14 and 18, Summit extends its outpatient programming, including the intensive outpatient program. Teens and parents or caregivers participate in the program by attending one to four or five times per week, depending on the level of care that is appropriate for the individual client.

Ulmer explained that Summit also offers the outpatient programming to young adults, ages 18 to 25, as this population group is often quite different from both the younger teenager group and the older adults. Finding the middle ground and placing those in the young adult age group together, further demonstrates Summit’s intention of creating a personalized experience for their clients.

No matter the age of the client, Summit meets their clients where they are. In the video, Ulmer explains, “We look at it as identifying an individualized approach where someone is coming in expressing their need. We work with them to identify what their treatment plan goals would be truly from where they are and where they hope to be.”

Summit utilizes a personalized approach to treatment in all of their programs, knowing that each client is unique, to empathetically walk alongside of them through the challenging first days of sobriety through after-care and to long-lasting recovery.

Car Accidents With Uber Or Lyft Can Be Complicated Says Boca Car Accident Lawyer

Boca Raton, FL, USA, 10/30/2017 /SubmitPressRelease123/

Because the industry of ride-sharing is still fairly new, insurance companies are still working to make sure that their policies involve some type of provision for ride-sharing coverage and options. Additionally, laws and requirements for ride-sharing companies are continually evolving and changing as they are becoming more ubiquitous.

What Exactly is a Rideshare Company?

Rideshare companies, like Uber and Lyft, are also called Transportation Network Companies (TNC). They provide drivers-for-hire sharing services to customers by contracting with freelance drivers who drive their own cars to transport customers. These contracted drivers typically do not go through the same type of training and scrutiny that other for-hire drivers (cab drivers, chauffeurs, etc.) go through, and they are not required to insure or register their cars as commercial vehicles. TNCs provide cab-like services that allow passengers to arrange for rides on short notice with a smartphone application.

The typical way that rideshare companies work involves three elements:

A customer uses a smartphone to request a ride, set a pickup and drop-off location.
The driver uses GPS to navigate and for the app to track and calculate a cost for the route.
The customer uses a social media-like platform to rate the driver for other potential passengers so they know what to expect.

While there are similarities between taxis and rideshare vehicles, they don’t operate the same way. A taxi is nearly always on the road, traveling as much as 70,000 miles a year, whereas rideshare vehicles are on the road considerably less. Some rideshare drivers drive part-time, while others make it a full-time job. The rideshare apps insist that their businesses are just what an app entails – a technological start-up that is simply the middleman between a passenger and a driver, not a commercial vehicle-for-hire entity.

What Happens When There is an Accident Involving Uber or Lyft?

This is where it gets sticky. In the recent past, there have been a few bills that were signed into law that regulate the way that companies like Uber and Lyft are insured. Commercial vehicles must be covered through strict insurance policies that are governed by the state in which they are operated, but until recently, Uber and Lyft were not required to maintain that same requirement because of their modern business structure. However, due to the pressure the companies received about the growing number of accidents across the country, both Uber and Lyft adopted insurance coverage that kicks in once a driver has accepted and picked up a passenger.

It may seem that the problem has been solved. But it hasn’t. What has happened is different states have passed bills and signed legislation that questions the time frames for which rideshare drivers are covered by company insurance and at what times they are not. While laws and insurance policies are in flux, it is in passengers’ and other drivers’ best interest to work with a seasoned and knowledgeable car accident attorney if they are injured in an accident involving an Uber or Lyft vehicle.

If you or a family member were injured in an auto accident involving an Uber or Lyft vehicle in Florida, contact Boca Raton car accident lawyer Joe Osborne at (561) 293-2600 or complete the online contact form. You can discuss your case, how the law may apply and your best legal options to protect your rights and obtain compensation for your injuries.
